This team is nowhere close to competing for a Super Bowl. As good as he is that is still true. Considering his desire to leave just go ahead and trade him. Get as much as you can for him and try and build a football team that can go deep in the playoffs and be in contention for a ring.

Of course Jerry will still be here so we may be doomed no matter what we do.

Oh I hear you there. But it has been 30 years, we need to stop pushing off hopes for aa better future to the future by foolishly getting rid of talent and putting our hopes in draft picks that historically this team has not been good at. I did absolutely love this years draft btw

We need to extend Micah and do whatever we need to do to win now. I am afraid the only way this team is going to be successful again is for the Jones to lose their grips on this team, but at very minimum give it a chance by keeping you mouths shut and leave football decisions to better minded people.

Once they drafted eze they should have started negotiations on an extension that was team friendly then start exploring trade options once they were far apart. Not saying eze is as good but they can extend Williams along with grabbing some early draft picks to bring in more talent on a team that can desperately need it for cap relief.

If I had any assurance the Cowboys could use the picks in a Micah trade to somehow move up to select Arch Manning, I'd say ship him outta here.
But I have little confidence that Jerry and Co. would even maximize any haul we got from a mega trade, so I opted for pay da man and let's see how far we can run with him.
He is one of the preeminent defenders in the league, and isn't the goal of acquiring pick to get blue-chip players like Parsons?

Why do I feel like I’m the only one who remembers our fans, me included, complaining about the pass rush, every year, for years, until Micah arrived?

And since he arrived (and 52 sacks, 9 Forced Fumbles, 63 tackles for a loss from him later) we’re suddenly like “the pass rush is pretty good!”

Overall this whole thing could be Jones boys drama, and they sign MP on sept 6th for
50 mil APY.
This could all be jerrys soap opera for media attention!
