Remember about a year ago the rumor that there were people in the building that wouldn't be sad to see Micah go? I think I have a good idea who two of em are.

Micah didn't say that at all. Two sides to every story and we don't know if Micah's side is 100% accurate, however I think you're taking his words out of context quite a bit here.

Micah said the following in relation to after the 2024 season:

He also said this about getting a deal done in 2023

It seems like from Micahs viewpoint he was very motivated to get a deal done from the start.

No one wants to lose their top pass rusher, not even the Cowboys who are deep at DE. And yet….Miles Garrett, TJ Watt, Trey Hendrickson, and Max Crosby are considered the best all around DEs, and Garrett and Watt have been DPY, but their teams aren’t winning Super Bowls. If Parsons won’t sign for 37-38 million per year, I make him play out his contract and or trade him. Stock pile #1 draft picks with an eye on drafting a blue chip QB over the next 2 years as Dak’s heir to the most important position.

This should be an interesting poll for everyone.
This Jerry once again thinking he’s smarter than everyone else. I said months ago way before the draft see what we can get for a trade. 2 firsts + extras let him go! Now we would have to wait til next year to use the picks.

If I had any assurance the Cowboys could use the picks in a Micah trade to somehow move up to select Arch Manning, I'd say ship him outta here.
But I have little confidence that Jerry and Co. would even maximize any haul we got from a mega trade, so I opted for pay da man and let's see how far we can run with him.
He is one of the preeminent defenders in the league, and isn't the goal of acquiring pick to get blue-chip players like Parsons?

Reminder that he was eligible to be the highest paid nonQB in 2024 for about 33m$ a year before Jefferson signed.

Now you’ll be lucky if it’s under 43m$. The difference is more than what Derrick Henry makes
Well when you put it that way…..they sound like even BIGGER morons

I promise if Jerry or Stephen somehow got relieved of their duties it’s not one NFL team that would hire them as GM

He did put one thing in his public statement that had me wondering. He said he grew up a Cowboys fan, but didn't he say before and show that he grew up an Eagles fan?

He’s not going to bring 2 firsts and more. Thats the trade to make in April. In training camp, no one is going to give that up.

Another example of our stupid front office

I voted sign him because a trade is what you do when you are rebuilding and this team will never rebuild while Jerry is alive

If you were going to sign him or trade him, the time to do that was in the spring before the draft. Would have been cheaper to sign then and would have garnered better trade options.

Now teams have already committed their cap space, draft capital, etc. I say that because we won’t be able to get as much for him now.

This front office is a complete embarrassment.

PS- I side with the players about 99% of the time. People saying Micah needs to honor his contract aren’t familiar with how NFL teams do contracts. The owners don’t honor the contract besides what is guaranteed. Years mean nothing after the guaranteed money is paid.

Micah needs to get away from this circus. He isn't going to win anything here. As for the Cowboys, it doesn't make a difference. We can lose just as well without him. This organization needs a cleansing from the top down. Jerry probably loves all this drama. It keeps the Cowboys in the news.

Are cowboys tanking this early in the season? Lol. It makes me think why the hired BS and probably trade Micah.

One thing’s for sure, Jerry will do the worst thing for the organization. The story is not about Parsons, it’s about the idiot that has ruined the franchise.

Trade but I didn’t vote. I don’t think he’ll pull 2-1s + picks. If he will, trade immediately.

I honestly don't think he's worth 40m a year. Maybe if he played the run like Miles Garrett. I think a shutdown Corner is more valuable than an elite pass rusher, which, let's be honest - is a specialist. Even if a guy gets you a sack on 3rd down, what's to say a decent defense wouldn't have prevented a first down in that case anyway? I understand he makes other players around him better but even with that - not worth close to that kind of money.

Trade…
Yes he elite, yes he’s the best player we have… and yes you get players like this once in a generation.
But we aren’t going to compete for the Super Bowl in the next few years and his career will all be but done by the time we can compete.
So trade him for as picks as we can and use them to rebuild… including a new quarterback.
Your last paragraph is spot on.
