3 Cowboys eligible for 2026 HOF class, plus 1 who keeps getting snubbed

May depend on perspective. Will voters voters view Witten as Jabba the Whitlock does, or are they rational.

The dude is wrong when he says the NFL isn’t stats driven. Skill position players get in the Hall of Fame due to their numbers except for a few QBs that won multiple Super Bowls including Troy Aikman. There’s no debate about Jason Witten getting in the Hall of Fame. He’s a first ballot lock.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in recent memory.

The spotlight in Dallas is shining on three beloved former Cowboys who are also first-time eligible: TE Jason Witten, WR Dez Bryant, and LB Sean Lee.

Each played pivotal roles during their tenure with the team, and now, Cowboys fans are hoping the Hall of Fame selection committee gives them their due.

Woodson should have been voted in the HOF long before Sterling Sharp got in. Woodson help lead those great Cowboy teams to 3 Super Bowls WIN and made 5 Pro Bowl teams. Sharp zero SBs and 5 Pro Bowls, oh and lost to the Cowboys every time he met them in the playoffs. It's a dam shame that Woodson is still waiting for that call 3 decades later.

You mean there's no "Coulda Been, If Not for Injuries" category?
If there was a category for that, Sean Lee would be included. A great player who was injury prone. The biggest issue with him was his availability.

Terrell Davis played 78 career games and got in easy.
Terrell Davis from 1996-1998 has one of the greatest three-year stretches of play in NFL history, and broke 1000 yards every year before his injury. Neither Dez nor Lee can even sniff that zip code.

Witten should be first ballot though.

That was pretty much what...Never mind.

I'm agreement with the consensus.

Woody should've been inducted years ago.

Witten is 1st ballot material.

Lee should not get in because he was too injury prone, and though he was a good player, I wasn't seeing LT type HoF play from him even when healthy.

Dez was good, but not great. It's the "Hall of Fame", not the "Hall of Pretty Good". Plus, it is my opinion that Dez underachieved his whole career.

If Lee could have stayed healthy and not missed so many games he would’ve had a shot. He was a great player when he was healthy and on the field.
He was a good, but not great player. Nowhere near HoF level play.

When he was playing and not battling an injury he was a great player. He really elevated our defense. I remember one season when he was lost to an injury and our defense fell apart. He had an All Pro season in 2016 and made a couple of pro bowls, but he missed numerous games, including an entire season with injuries. Had it not been for the injuries it’s very possible he could have been a Hall of Fame player. Despite all the missed games, he had 14 INT’s. He had 4 INT‘s in 2013 for 174 return yards. You obviously forgot how good he was.

Woodson is beyond over due.

The rest should get extra consideration and leniency since they played for GM Jethro.
