Definitely trade him and start a rebuilt process now if the goal was to actually go to the Superbowl. This team isn't doing anything with an aging middling QB, a defense that still cant stop the run even with Parsons, and a fallback HC that wouldn't be a HC anywhere else.

Yes he elite, yes he’s the best player we have… and yes you get players like this once in a generation.
But we aren’t going to compete for the Super Bowl in the next few years and his career will all be but done by the time we can compete.
So trade him for as picks as we can and use them to rebuild… including a new quarterback.

I voted to sign him but I do understand the reasoning here.

I don't think those that picked pay him all think he's worth 40M. I certainly don't. But that's the price. It's bad enough the talent pool is limited to the draft and the occasional trade, if we start trading away the good players we draft, what's left?

Arlington Jonesboys fans are crazy. Contrary to Jerry Dumbo GM Jones paying players that are average to below average, you do not trade a 24 year old All Pro, Pro Bowl, NFL Starting LB. The Raiders defense still has not recovered from losing K Mack, Colts never recovered from losing Cornelius Bennett, and it took the Eagles a decade from letting Reggie White walk. You trade aging players before they go sour. You keep generational talent like Parsons. But this is the GM that passed on Randy Moss.

Just look at the Eagles roster and see who the Cowboys used to do it. Schramm had holdouts and very man players during negotiations. But they kept their stars and paid their stars while they were young and valuable.

Parsons has a year left on a rookie deal and you have 2 franchise tags. You work out a long term deal and build a defense not tear it down getting rid of your best defensive pick since Demarcus Ware.

This poll result lets me know that the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Cowboys fans do not exist anymore. Arlington Jonesboys and Jerry Dumbo GM Jones that has given Arlington Jonesboys fans nothing in 30 years.
