When we drafted Parsons, I was overjoyed. I loved the pick and for a while there I thought we should build around the guy!! I thought he was a true Cowboy. A true Cowboy!! I can’t stand what Parsons has become. He’s become a disappointment and I hate the guy. Jerry Jones needs to trade this man NOW. He’s a toxic me me me first kind of guy and if I was younger, I’d give an uppercut!!!

He has all the talent and that’s why this hurts so much. I thought he would become a legend of this franchise. I thought his talk of taking a team friendly deal might have been true. You know what? I can’t believe I’m saying this but Jerry Jones is the victim in this situation. Parsons is entitled and it’s showing!

I am not sure but I think there's nothing in the league rules that prevents them from making an offer direct to the player sans the agent.

It’s my understanding that any player would need to notify the league that they are now acting as their own agent and the league has to approve it. OBVIOUSLY, that is NOT the case here…

if this is legit and the NFL has the guts to enforce it, Jerry may be in hot water. I guess its one thing to say you made an offer without the agent, but in order for the league to prove it might be a different ball of wax. Maybe Micah has sour grapes and turns him in? This could get very ugly the longer this goes, BUT, always a but, Micah is under contract and the team could tag him the next 2 years afterwards. But I doubt they will do that.

Micah is doing the right thing. If he was to receive a career ending injury in the last year of his contract, the NFL contract culture would drop him like a bad habit. There is no denying Micah is a generational talent and he should exploit that unicorn status to his benefit.

I can’t see any way that negotiating strictly with the player would be off limits. You’d essentially have to accept that no player has ever represented themself and I don’t believe that to be the case.

It's not Micah's fault. It's not Jerry's fault. It's the NFLPA's fault. The union should be negotiating these contracts. A player who hits certain benchmarks (years, stats, whatever) gets X dollars. Players shouldn't be having to negotiate their deals out of a finite pie. This system favors the superstar player and kills the rank and file player who makes up a majority of the league. The union needs to represent everyone equally and it is not.
