We may see more Grier over Milton this Preseason

The Cowboys Break podcast brought up a good point by saying the Cowboys may need to play Grier more in Preseason in order to get a better evaluation of WR's.
Milton is very erratic and inaccurate and his playing style doesn't allow the team to get a good evaluation of the WR's.
Grier is more consistent and steady which will allow him to distribute the ball more efficiently and give the WR's a chance to show how they are at running the routes and catching the ball on a more consistent basis.
It's also not a lock that Milton will be QB 2 due to his inconsistencies.

I don’t see us carrying 3 QB or Milton being cut. Most likely we have a QB on PS

I don't even care about our backups. I'm more worried about our starter. I'm not a Dak hater either. Just agnostic for a lack of a better term. I consider him average or slightly above. And since he hasn't played in 50 years, I'm a bit worried.

Hopefully we will see both of them about equally. Also, it wouldn't make any sense on wasting draft capital based off of one preseason game.
Cowboys are experts at wasting draft capital.Just reference the 2023 draft for evidence and of course the Lance trade and we could list more

If the Cowboys feel Milton is very erratic and inaccurate and his playing style doesn’t allow the team to get a good evaluation of the WRs then he won’t be the backup this season. We won’t get the most out of CeeDee or Pickens if Milton is forced into action during the regular season. If Milton starts off against Baltimore like he did last week and it’s the same up-and-down play, I think they need to pull him and put Grier in so we can get a better evaluation of our WRs. If that were to happen then Grier will be the backup this season unless he stinks it up and Milton will look like another wasted trade. The Cowboys traded for Milton to be the backup.

I don’t see how you don’t carry three when one is a raw project.

Do we really need that extra guy to cover kicks? Do we really need Goodwin? Anyone can be a gunner.

Carry two and you’re one snap away from a street guy who doesn’t know the offense being the backup. Some of these roster rules really need to change.

They have to keep all three. One less ST guy? Oh well, QB is just a little more important.

Has Grier been doing well in practice?

Milton seemed to have good practices (from what I've seen).

Seems they can both play these next two games & get a better idea of everyone involved.

There is no "wasting of draft capital" when it comes to QBs. Teams should be doing that every year they can even if you already have Mahomes or Brady, because now you have their heir apparent, a top of the line back-up, and/or amazing trade capital.

And Milton should be cut right now if he is so terrible that the team cannot use him to evaluate the WRs.

You lost me at the "50 years" part but, yeah.
