But we shouldn’t be so overwhelmed with being highest paid defensive player. Cause we know Market Price goes up every year with Cap increase.
I agree. The market goes up it’s the salary cap. So I would change the discussion to do we want to pay a primarily one dimensional player. Micah is the best at getting sacks and win percentage in the league. But he’s weak against the run. I think the discussion goes to do you pay him the same or higher than more complete defenders.

My answer to my own question is yes. If I had my way I would pay him due to his age and win percentage/disruption to the offense. Then work with him on playing the run better.

But I want to add a caveat to that. Depends on the contract. If he, or more specifically his agent, wants a 5 year 250 million completely guaranteed then I say let another team pay him. Or if he wants his contract all up front or all guaranteed like Watson’s contract or Dak’s contract then I’d be disappointed but I’d want someone else to pay that and we get draft picks.

I have no idea. I don’t follow either of those teams.
how convenient. Ill help you out. Hendrickson is holding out. He is clearly one of the top pass rushers in the league. The Bengals are doing the same as Jerry. For some reason, they are not taking your advice.

Sorry, not familiar at all. Couldn’t even tell who those players were.

Parsons isn’t holding out.. yet.

I am a fan of this team since 1976. Key word is the team... not the player. Dont get me wrong, I still pop out jerseys to wear when I go to the games, I love the player on our team that helps us win. Whats that guy's name... Michael Lawrence that went to Seattle....... dont give one damn about him. Emmitt Smith in Arizona... dont care about him.

So watching this Parsons thing play out and with the season right around the corner, how many of you are reaching the point where you just dont care anymore what happens with the guy?

I am 55 years old and I absolutely love the NFL. I play in 4 fantasy leagues (one is a family league with relatives on both coasts and includes 3 of my 4 daughters, my wife, son-in-law, and 2 cousins on the east coast and a couple of friends.... including that 4th daughters ex boyfriend) I will attend the home opener, the GB game 2 eeks later, and the Broncos game a month later. Sundays come around and I am in my movie room all day watching multiple games and soaking all the NGL glory in. I love it.

That being said, I am well aware that this team is much better with Michael Parsons than without. I wish he was signed and playing... well, when his back is well enough to play :lmao:. But, I did predict this was going to happen last year during the cee dee situation. I said then, if you think this is bad with CeeDee, just wait till Parsons time comes. Well, its here. Look at him last night lying on the trainers table, no jersey, pouting like a baby that isnt currently under contract and scheduled to make a hefty salary this year. So with the season about to start, what are your feelings heading into the season.

1) You are like me. I simply dont care. If he wants to play, play. If he wants to hold in, or out, or up or down... just do it from home. Because I want Winners! The season is starting, and I will enjoy it with or without the player.

2) how many of you just will not enjoy the games due to this contract situation. I will absolutely drive you nuts as you have to hear for the 20th time during the broadcast next week, how much the Cowboys defense is missing Michael?

Please give your thoughts. :muttley:
I agree. I, also felt like you last year, with all the troubles they had getting CD and Dak signed, that it would be worst with Parsons. I don't like it and I'm just about tired of all the BS that goes with it.Its taken alot of fun out of it to me.

I don’t have a problem if we don’t think Parsons is worth Market Price. Let’s make a trade and move on.

But that’s not the problem.

yea he is. He is a liar claiming to have a back injury. He hasnt practiced. He is only with the team to keep his money. He is absolutely holding out, no matter what you want to call it.

We shall see come Sept 4th if he’s holding out.

Lamb held out last year. This hasn’t been officially a hold out yet.

So far I’d argue he’s playing it smarter by being there.

If he gets hurt, it affects both trade value and his new contract. If not, just tag and keep him.

Why trade for low value?
well he's already hurt just ask #7 who spoke for him last night saying "micah has a bad bad back!" lol

That’s what I’m saying. If he plays and gets hurt trade value lessens.

If I'm Micah I sit out . And he doesn’t have to agree with Tag next year.

I care about the Cowboys.

#TeamMicah

I've been a die-hard supporter of this team for about 50 years now. And at times I love me some Jerry Jones. But that love and support has faded rapidly. He doesn't honor every contract he signs so why should players? I know he's getting old, so I have to keep that in mind, but his constant need to be in front of the camera and seeming to care more about the image and profit of the team over success, leads me to root against him (not the team) in this particular case.
