That cant be your point, because you have to pay talented players you don't want to lose that play past 4 years... or you'll just be left with the "bums" and continuously searching for replacements in the draft.
If they wanted Micah and still been able to put a team around him they should have signed their talented players and not Dak and Diggs.

You can't have 4 of the biggest contracts in the history of the sport on the same team and expect to compete.

You'll see.

So you don't know. Cool.

Obviously it makes a difference. If it really means best of his generation, that's a lot different from "current top 5."

Maybe a top 3 or top 5 player shouldn't be paid like the best in the game.
I’ve never been asked before. I figured everyone knew definition. I think it means one of the best not the best but more importantly the kinda of talent that doesn’t come around very often.

Looks like you’re just looking for something to dissect not actually appreciating the definition.

This is one of the reasons the Cowboys have not been successful; no one player is more important than the team. Micah is not the end-all-be-all within the defense; he makes a difference only on obvious passing situations…he is a one-dimensional player at this point in his career. If he doesn’t wish to play in Dallas then the Cowboys need to move him and get adequate compensation; or Jerry needs to cut his shenanigans and pay him promptly. But both parties need to cease with the passive-aggressiveness and posturing…it’s run its course.

Not unless they were actually 4 of the best players in the league.

Diggs definitely over hyped. Had one great season. Never thought a receiver should be paid top contract. Too easy to draft more receivers. Dak definitely over hyped. Not one of the best.

So if Micah is over hyped it wouldn’t be surprising for this dysfunctional organization. But I’d say he’s closer to a generational talent than anyone else we have. Not as easy to find game changing edge rushers.

But in its totality it’s not winning any championships here. So I’d get trading him for premium picks.

We needed this thread?

That being said, why are you calling him Michael?

Why does Jerry call him Michael?

What do the two of you have in common that causes you to call him out of his name?
I have a few ideas …

I care so much, I'm going to forever call him Michael.

Dude is a clown.

TJ Watt, Bosa, Myles Garrett, Crosby.... all are as good as the player in question.... if thats the case, and there are 4 or 5 other guys as good as him TODAY. He cant be a generational talent.

you just dont like my humor.... thats ok. Never said I was good at it.
I wasn't referring to you. I just don't care much. As far as clown, that was towards Michael taking a nap.

If, somehow, this deal isn't already done, I'd trade his sorry ***.

He's going to get lazy after he gets paid anyway...and, he has no endurance down the stretch.

ah, thanks for the explanation. And do not disagree with you. I am not sure I trust Michael AFTER he gets all that guaranteed money.

Yeah ,I was just thinking about this, It's been nonsense from both sides the ego the posturing getting everyone involved in this and I don't want to be involved in it, I'm I'm grown far from tired of hearing every day there's something about his deal or somebody said this somebody said that feelings are hurt and yeah all that drama last night with him lying on the table....

I'm not blaming him for this up to this point I'm not taking a side, and you're right we are a much better team, and I would feel much better about this season especially against the Eagles game one if he's on the team playing...

But I hate to do this, i'm right in the middle of number one and number two, I'm excited the football seasons coming up, I know he's under contract and more than likely he's not going to hold out games, so I think with or without a new deal, he is going to come in and play..

It Just doesn't make sense to me that he would lose $1.4 million per game when he's not even willing to eat up $50,000 for the practices.. I know that adds up pretty fast but think about it wouldn't it be about $1,000,000 in fines for skipping practices? just completely going dark and leaving the whole situation not coming to the games, I mean that shows me that he's still posturing and he's trying to get his deal done,

so, he's doing everything possible he's getting bad advice from his agent to do all this, You know that next move was with the cryptic social media messages...

In the end he's a football player, and in the end he knows he doesn't want to lose a bunch of money and I don't think he wanted to let his teammates down and I think it's bothering him deep and I think that's what will inspire him to come in and start practicing when they're getting prepared for game one when the real practices start I think he comes back.

I mean my other feeling about him too is if he does come back, he suits up and starts practicing goes into game one and plays hard All of a sudden Jerry looks over says that's what I was hoping for the man's loyal and just gives him his new deal it gets done before Game 2...

What I'm really hoping for is they get it resolved before Thursday the 28th he gets his new deal and everyone's happy and the fans can just move on to football...

But you're correct, it's come to a point where I'd like to just put it on the back burner ,not think about it but it's kind of hard ,when you open up any of your social media pages or this place and it's just front and center.....

Can't get away from it,

but once game one starts even if he's not there then I revert to your number one, and I'm just going to be just as excited about the football season and I got to hope that Fowler, Houston, Kneeland, Sam Williams and Eazy E and the others they bring in to rush the passer, can do it in a group fashion as a committee ,and try to cover up that they're missing their best defensive player..

That's my hope, you just got to look at it as he's injured, just like we're missing Overshown, we're probably missing Revel, maybe Diggs maybe Butler, These guys are healing and they won't be here at game one to help us, and I got to look at this situation with Parsons is he's hurt ,and he'll be back ,and he'll be a cowboy for life, soon..
My thoughts are we need more walls of text from blueblood70.

Damn, another fish flopping around out of water. A few hours ago you said his deal is already done.

Yep, no problem with your humor or Jerral's. It's hilarious when Jerry calls him Little Michael.

I mean, he's just a distraction at this point.

I don't in that I'm not too invested in what ultimately happens with him. I think he's a great talent, worthy of re-signing, but also, if some team wants to offer a ton of picks for him, then do it.
Part of me still feels this is manufactured drama, unless of course he is traded.

It is. Watch.

I still don't like the antics. If this was part of the plan, Michael never should have agreed to act this way.

But, yes, I'm near certain the deal has already been agreed upon. And the no participation is so Little Michael doesn't get injured more than just pretending to be butt hurt.

But, yes, I also don't like his little gesture not wearing a jersey and napping or whatever.

Tis a punk move..acting like a self-centered punk teammate.

If, then ..maybe learn that. So you can comprehend what I'm saying..

Just like Romo, Dak, Dez, some of y’all root for the player over team.
How does this even make sense? I rooted for all those players for the SOLE reason they were/are DALLAS COWBOYS.

The whole "Player Over Dallas" nonsense was invented here by people desperate to defend their agenda, so they attack the fandom of those that don't agree with them.
