Holden could have been a special teams guy to start with. I don't understand why we released him.
He wasn’t on any of the coverage teams. I really liked him though and hope he finds a way to the practice squad.

Looks about right to me. You can't discount 3 seasons of 12 wins and say just "considering last season".

Looking at the entire list, way to much emphasis put on last year.
You can most certainly dismiss those 12 win season when Dak came up small in the playoffs every stinking time, and not once did he lead this team to a divisional round win.

12 wins don't mean anything other than a reminder that you choked in the playoffs.

Hurts is good. I disagree that he is a bus driver or was carried by his team. He played very well in the playoffs, and made some really solid throws. He's grown as a QB.

It’s crazy but this is pretty much what any sane fan was saying to their selves 1 hour before last seasons opening game against the Browns but the guy making the decisions and calling the shots thought otherwise!
As soon as we extended him I said to myself, well there goes any chance of winning anything anytime soon.
Knowing that the schedule was going to be against some of the top teams in the league over that brutal 8 week stretch to start the season, they even had the option to see if he finally could show up against playoff tier teams and if he did they could have extended him then. Or if he played like he ended up playing, they get to walk away knowing they dodged a bullet. Literally the dumbest way to play it was the way they played it.

Unless they run the ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah that’s where the weakness appears to be again although we really don’t know for sure yet if they’re going to be a revolving door up the middle. A good offensive running game can help that by keeping the opposing teams offense off the field. But don’t give up on this years team being able to stop the run. We haven’t seen this team yet.

The we've kept it vanilla" excuse is the lamest thing ever in the preseason

It's like he's saying EVERYONE has been pulling out all the stops in the PS games, and ONLY the Cowboys are running vanilla plays.

The defenses that are wrecking you are also playing backups and running vanilla plays.
That’s not what he’s saying actually.

The Hurts disrespect is getting ridiculous.

Do we downgrade Troy for winning with a super team? Do we downgrade Montana for winning with a super team? Some believe the Ravens have the best overall roster...but do we downgrade Jackson, even though he chokes and makes dumb-*** decisions in big games? Do we downgrade Jim Kelly, even though he had his loaded team and played his worst in the big game--4 times??? Elway didn't win until he had an elite o-line and Terrell Davis putting up the greatest three-year stretch of any RB in NFL history, but we don't downgrade him. Bart Starr had the super team of his day but we still think of him as a proto-Montana.

The only QB that was able to win multiple Super Bowls with only one elite offensive talent is Tom Brady, just about the most average of athletes that ever played QB. Why? Because he is the most elite decision-maker in NFL history. Being a QB isn't just throwing the ball far and having great arm talent. If so, then Vick, George, Cunningham, and Cutler would be in the HoF.

Mahomes and Hurts have proven to be elite decision makers in big games. Because of that, they help their team win more than the others. Winning is what counts the most. Mahomes and Hurts deserve to be where they are ranked. Mahomes and Hurts are also fortunate enough to have a GM and coaching staff that knows how to build a roster and coach to victory. If you want to hold that against them, that's just flat out stupid. Many QB's have had great teams around them and failed. Mahomes and Hurts usually don't fail--heck, one of the times both failed was against each other.

I think Burrow and Allen are better QB's than Mahomes and Hurts myself if things were based just on arm talent, but in a big game, I'll take the guys that make the right decisions and get to/win in the big games.
