Not true, sugar biscuits, I want him to either win or get the hell out of Dallas.

This team needs to not embarrass themselves against Philadelphia. Do that and I will be happy. The good will tank is empty so I am not going to get pumped up about a handful of lower roster moves.

I'd also add Mason Crosby ahead of him.
Nothing against Crosby, good player but I just dont see that at all. Crosby is only about 5-10lbs heavier than Parsons (depending on the source) so he sees similar issues in the run game as Parsons. His pass rush metrics are worse than Micahs too.

For example in 2024:
  • Micah had 12 sacks on 392 pass rush snaps
    • 1 sack per 32 snaps
    • 19% pressure rate (75 total pressures)
  • Crosby had 7.5 sacks on 431 pass rush snaps
    • 1 sack per 57 snaps
    • 12% pressure rate (53 total pressures)
2023
  • Micah had 14 sacks on 463 pass rushes
    • 1 sack per 33 snaps
    • 21% pressure rate (99 total)
  • Crosby had 14.5 sacks on 623 snaps
    • 1 sack per 43 snaps
    • 12.7% pressure rate (79 total)

Anyone watch it yet?

I want to bring something to the table here.

When Jerry went toe to toe with the NFL regarding branding, sponsorships etc. Does anyone believe that the fallout from that is what we have witnessed for the last 30 years?

They havent won since, they have had obscure and mind boggling penalties called against them at the most inopportune times, and just cant seem to put it all together.

Yes there is a lot more to that story. Also on Jerry, but to sit here and act like its not plausible at all and we are all nuts for thinking there has been an issue is mind boggling to me.

Thoughts?
I refuse to watch it. Sorry I just can't take ANY Jerry.

The secondary should be good mid season. They certainly have pass rushers. The DT situation is baaaaaaadddddd.

The Tyler Rose, Earl "The Pearl" Campbell. If it wasn't for the Steelers, he'd have a ring. Not two, because our Cowboys would've beaten in the all Texas Super Bowl in 1978. I was lucky enough to see him play many times thanks to my dad being a rabid UT fan. Meet him too at Handy Andy (former local food store) while he was there promoting his brand of sausage. Super cool dude.
i loved earl campbell. He had some real bad health after his playing days unfortunately. Another # 34 was a guy named Walter Payton. He was pretty good too.

For all of those 3rd and 4th rounders you’d like to see at least another contributor or two.

But yeah, I can’t really fault them too much for picking a future hall of famer and a very good DT.

Average draft that could have been outstanding if they hadn’t totally missed on a few of those.
Yeah like the draft we got Guyton i think is the same one we got Beebe and Overshown. If Guyton bust i still think that draft turns out fairly good.

Theres no doubt we have our crap picks, but often times it gets made up for in later rounds.

Im definitely not saying there isn't a ton of room for improvement.

Oh yes the 2009 Special teams draft which was an absolute disaster!
Its the most infamous draft I can recall.

Was definitely a low point.

That and the draft we passed on Stephen Jackson still gets my goat.

I guess we didn't put in a claim for the big DT huh?

Here are the 2024 defensive starters we lost and who has replaced them:
  • DE DeMarcus Lawrence >>>>> Marshawn Kneeland
  • Slot Corner Jourdan Lewis>>>>>Zion Childress
  • OLB DeMarvion Overshown >>>>>Marist Liafau
  • MLB Eric Kendricks >>>>>>>>>Jack Sanborn
I may have missed someone. Are we better at these positions than last year? On a defense ranked 31st last year in overall defense? It does not appear to be better.
Do we know where Murray is playing? Thought Outside.

I think we see a lot of Murray and Sandborn. Unless neither show much, which is highly possible.
