I dont think either one is bluffing. It's more of a pissing contest at this point. We, the fans, lose with this mess.
Well one has the control and the other one is pretending like they have control.

Are they both upset yes.

It’s starts with the offensive line. We need a big season from Guyton, Smith, Bebe, Booker, and Steele. The offensive line is the key for us to be a top NFC East team or a bottom NFC East team.
I feel our D has a bigger impact than our O on how the season plays out.

If we fall behind early, we chase too many games with a pass heavy O signposted for all teams who know what's coming.

That said, if we are ahead in games, I feel we will manage a few 40 burgers with the Pickens addition.

I agree. But it does look like he's trying to not play and still get paid. That's what it looks like. Besides, even if he did play against Philly, he'd have to be on some kind of pitch count. He hasn't practiced at all.
He can't play against the eagles, his little back is hurting.

He wants to be put in IR so he can get paid, and accrue his season.
It is another stupid ploy.

Wonder how much this agent pays to the doctor.
There's always risk the doctor can lose their license in such a scenario but even if a test shows mild inflammation they could always recommend rest for 2-3 weeks, etc. Which buys time to continue the hold in and facilitate a potential trade. But it is odd as a back issue could lower trade interest/contract and he may end up playing on a short term deal anyway if there was an issue.

On a side note could a 2nd opinion also mean a potential trade that has another team just wanting to check out the back before finalizing a deal?

The "reported" trade package Green Bay would send Dallas is two 1st round picks, a 2nd round pick, and a 5th round pick.

I am assuming that's a 1st and 2nd in 2026 and a 1st and 5th in 2027. Considering the Packers would probably be in the latter part of the round, I am not convinced that's good enough compensation. But still worth discussing as a hypothetical.

Lol you keep trying to hammer this point like it’s going to hurt my feelings or something.
Not out to hurt your feelings...sorry you feel that way. Not sure why you would.

We got way off track here. So....well...let's get back to football and letting people say what they want....if that is really how ya feel? It is indeed a slippery slope.

Good point, but I seriously doubt that. Unless we are intentionally trying to make the same mistake the Mavericks did.

Reports say Goodwin is already on the practice squad. Maybe they are signing another corner from outside the organization.

They will get a second spot once they put Mafah on IR too; if that is still their plan.
they did end up putting Goodwin back on the 53 along with Adeniji

No, it absolutely is not because it is in the future, which drops it's value by 1 round in 2026 and by 2 rounds in 2027.

Plus these picks would be even lower with Micah on their team.

For a trade to happen today for future picks on a team like GB, it would have to be 4 1st round picks.

1. Micah is not going to sit and lose $14M and destroy his precious stats, that he has to stay in games up 3 TD's, so he can get more.

2. Micah is not going to win his fake injury claim.

3. I think several people would be happy if he talked less. Just shut up and play.

Those are not cards. Those are bluffs.
LOL .. I see you are WAY too heavily invested in this to be objective about it.

Those are most definitely cards.

Micah sits out, Cowboys are worse which means ..

1) Cowboys more likely to lose games, which impacts season, sales and revenue for Jerry (not valuation, but definitely cash flow)
2) If Micah plays the "I will play, but I'm injured" card, the Cowboys have to carry him on their active roster or put him on IR for at least 4 games while still paying him
3) Micah could go all in on legal claims against Jerry for violating the CBA (hard to prove given he's still under contract but Jerry's public words could be used against him) and demand full salary for 2025 be paid

There are plenty of cards for Micah to play.

The salary cap is increasing every year by a lot so it will be real easy to make up the $14 million he would lose returning in week #11 when you spread it out over 4 or 5 years with his next contract.

Personally, I wish he talked more so we could learn more details about what really is holding up the contract.

My guess is it's contract years, a no-trade clause and/or no franchise tag clause.

I have long said I am all for players trying to get the most money they can because their careers are short and you never know when it will end.

That's also why I said, I don't care how it plays out. Pay him. Don't pay him. Trade him. Let him hold out. Whatever.

I'll root for the players on the field in game #1 whether that includes Micah (under any scenario) or not.

.... I know they are many, but which one for you still stands out?

Mine: Dallas Vs Nola 2019

Saints RB Kamara takes hand off, to outside. Jaylon Smith comes down like freight train, whacks him on side of helmet.
Kamara staggers getting up, walking dizzy, side to side. I thought, oh man, that's gotta be flag. Nothing, ref working on Cola Slurpee.
