Just trade Parsons to a bad team and get what you can.

That is a lot of money to pay him and the Cowboys have many needs.

I’d figure the running game to be acceptable but that depends on the OL more than the backs. There won’t be gaudy numbers because they are going to be passing a lot for one reason or another.

I just don’t understand how they don’t understand that you can’t fix multiple positions with one single draft without several extra premium picks….and exactly how many seasons are they going to throw away?

The roster has several absolute gaping holes. They are toast against teams that are decent or better. I’ve had them at 7-10 but that almost seems like a reach at this point.

Oh btw so much for the DT trade everyone was hoping for. They like their seventh rounders.

Micah is trying to pull the "can't trade an injured player card " to be difficult. He wants a huge bag and he wants it here in Dallas. He's trying to manipulate Dallas. The kid is lost. Needs gone. Sad he has fallen so far so fast.
I will have way more appreciation for Jerry if je just lets Micah rot, and not collect a pay cheque. No matter how good or bad the team does this year, Jerry doing this would be a welcome change for this franchise. Problem is, this will get solved after Week 1 or 2 at the latest

Limited Diggs if he plays at all
Bland
Elam
Steward 7th rounder with very little actual game play
Bridges

I know many if you are upset about DT spot. But CB was my biggest concern and nothing to really improve has been done.

I know we have Diggs returning and Revel maybe coming. But this is pretty bad spot to be in.

Frustrating as a fan.

Let's hope for an injury free game there. Maybe after week 1 they add Gilly or a vet.
How they think they're going to field a good defense is beyond me. I guess they think Eberflus is a miracle worker.

This data is a couple years old now, but probably still pretty accurate. Its interesting to see that only 30% of 1st round picks typically sign extensions with the team that drafted them.

That a horrible comparison. Joe Frazier was an all time great. Hurts is closer to Gerry Cooney. Cooney was 28-3 but we all know his record was way better than his talent...
It’s a good comparison. Hurts did what Cooney could not: win under the biggest spotlight.

No, it absolutely is not because it is in the future, which drops it's value by 1 round in 2026 and by 2 rounds in 2027.

Plus these picks would be even lower with Micah on their team.

For a trade to happen today for future picks on a team like GB, it would have to be 4 1st round picks.
It's the next draft. How are you dropping it a round?

We just better not make a dumb Laker type trade.
Yeah, Jerry's track record on trades does not provide comfort.
But Jerry just fleeced the Saints, trading Richards and a 2028 7th, and got a 2028 6th in return. They moved up one spot and traded a decent player and kept a late round draft pick in Cornelius.

However I did post in another thread. Seemed like the Saints got the better deal.

So yes, you are correct.

The "reported" trade package Green Bay would send Dallas is two 1st round picks, a 2nd round pick, and a 5th round pick.

I am assuming that's a 1st and 2nd in 2026 and a 1st and 5th in 2027. Considering the Packers would probably be in the latter part of the round, I am not convinced that's good enough compensation. But still worth discussing as a hypothetical.
If thats what they are offering AND they are willing to give Micah a deal he wants, you take that in a minute.

I’m just curious why there seems to be so much more animosity towards Micah than there was zeke. I’m sure some of you weren’t happy with zeke’s holdout, myself included, but he also took his big whiny head and flew off to Cabo and didn’t return until he became the all time highest paid rusher which was just in time for the first regular season game. He wasn’t even at camp or pre season games.

On top of that, he came with a lot more headaches than Parsons AND he held out with TWO years left on his rookie contract which I don’t recall ever being done by any player. He also played a much less premium position but IIRC there was much more support for him than Micah and “pay the man” statements.

Personally I’m not happy with any of them, including Jerry, but if I had to pick one I’d would be supporting Micah much more than zeke. So what gives?
