Found the Roy kickoff one. This is actually kind of scary. He could have killed that guy.

Guess you can't timestamp the ones you have to watch on Youtube... It's at 2:27.

People forget how great Roy Williams was.....I honestly think the league had it out for him/made him their scapegoat....and that's about the time football died as we knew it. Goodell and the lawyers came in...the whole concussion protocol/helmet lawsuits started....league settled out of court....and it's been crap ever since. Last time I remember a Cowboy player laying the wood to someone was the Dixon kid from Baylor in a preseason game...playing free safety.....and he took a guy out on the sideline.....clean hit....and the announcers just about lost their minds....Was way too hard of a hit....and he was cut 2 days later.

I don’t remember any Dallas big hit but I will never forget Golden Tate laying out Sean Lee in 2012.

Remember Lee getting rocked....and honestly...I don't blame Tate one bit. As a defensive player you are taught to keep your head on a swivel....Just goes to show Dallas has never drafted players that know the fundamentals of football. They go off that crazy analytical SPARs crap. Give me a guy that knows how to play.

If Micah had legit concerns about his back, he had months to bring it up. He wasnt hankering to get it checked out in April or May. He knows gis body better than the Cowboys. Tell them earlier. Seek treatment earlier. He is only brining it up now because the game is coming up. Why make excuses fir him?
It was "brought up" months ago.

This whole 2nd opinion is strange ..........unless there's something we don't know. I say this coz
****isn't he risking his nego leverage and contract value, if another DR say IS NOT healthy enough to play. Would that not show a MORE SERIOUS back injury than originally reported?
****Team DR is saying the back is fine BUT yes, they are paid by Jerry and can certainly be bias.
**** It appears Parsons has everything to lose with a legit back injury, which makes the idea of him faking even stranger. I mean, is it possible there is a real issue with his back?
Not if his goal is simply to force a trade. The league knows our team doctors cleared him. Unless this second opinion pulls out some ridiculous MRI's etc, teams will proceed to negotiate. All deals would be contingent on him passing a physical with their team doctors regardless. So whoever deals for him isnt any more vulnerable than normal.

Hes giving Dallas the extra incentive to part ways by demonstrating how letting him play it out and tagging him will not work.

Never serious enough for Micah to get anything done about it. He knows his body. Its his responsibility to get it checked out. When he got it checked out, it was fine. He wants a second opinion. It’s obvious what he’s doing. If you can’t see it, get glasses.

Effective NFL offenses evolve. This league became a mostly pass oriented league the last 25 years. Pass heavy offenses featuring high percentage passes that make the QB, WR, and TE positions much more valuable had become the coin of the realm over the last 2-3 decades.

But things have changed. Defenses have evolved too over the years to where pass coverage has become easier to master. Good defenses evolved to where great pass rushes and pass coverage became gold. BUT….Things have evolved again.

So how do you challenge a defense today?
  • By having a running game capable of punishing defenses that cheat their safeties back to stop the intermediate pass and deep pass.
  • If an offense does not have a RB who forces safeties (and maybe LBs as well) to respect the run, it puts all the pressure on the QB to carry the offense. There may be 2 QBs in the NFL that can carry a team by himself.
  • By possessing a below average running game, the Cowboys are set up to depend too much on a 32 year old good but not great QB who has always played best with a strong running game.
It’s not a mystery. In 2025, having a quality running game capable of making defenses fear what it can do gives your QB and offense a chance to be good.

Without wearing blue fan glasses, I’m not seeing a running back on this roster that makes defensive coordinators respect the run. Until we do get someone that can put fear in a defense, I cannot expect deep playoff runs. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong. Hope so.
I have an assignment for you, Bob. Another well-written post like this one, but one that covers why the passing game is so critical, especially in terms of the running game. Maybe add why Pickens is so important to opening up running lanes and why that will work, and why teams would be foolish to stack the box as they say.

It's 2025, the 2 Nickel as they say. The league has evolved.

Here's my deal. If Parsons doesn't play game 1, I don't care where he wants to be.

I'm 99 percent sure this is all just manufactured drama. But if it's not, he can take a hike.

Jerral Wayne does this deal, though.

Watch.

I'm just tired of hearing about Little Michael.

Micah's extension will be announced next Thursday. Bank on it..........

All this drama between Micah and Jerry is intentional and they're only doing it for attention
At this point, I hope he’s traded. He’s a tremendous player but the Zone will never forgive him at this point for being “greedy” and the board will be even more drama filled as he becomes the next “Dak” around here.

I have been on this ride with the Dallas Cowboys since the 60s. You can’t be in my family and not be a Cowboys fan. And I have a really really big family uncles, aunts, cousins

Thanks for the link.

Against the Falcons I had him down for one really good play but I think he also had a penalty, so I dinged him.

I’m rooting for him. He’s worked hard to put himself in this position.

Glad to see you around. Means your doing better I hope.
I'm doing well, Rocky. I think the Cowboys are going to get crushed by the Eagles but the fan in me is forever hopeful to see a miracle happen. That is what keeps me interested in seeing the Cowboys play... the possibility that the Cowboys could win.

since 2000 Dallas is tied for 10th in wins in the nfl with Denver. We dont have a sb, but that hardly qualifies as "sucks."

Dont let the facts in to your opinions though.
Who gives a crap? Do the same exercise for playoffs - that's all that matters to many of us.

When I posted about Winfrey, some told me he was a camp body, UFL scrub; a JAG, they said.

Look closer at this guy. We're not as bad at DT as some are saying. And Winfrey is a big reason why.

Looks like he holds his position well as well as showing some moves with some strength.

I’m not expecting a win either but hoping to see signs of something to build on.

Wasn't there a massive hit on Shawn Alexander? I think it was RW by the sidelines.
