At this point, I hope he’s traded. He’s a tremendous player but the Zone will never forgive him at this point for being “greedy” and the board will be even more drama filled as he becomes the next “Dak” around here.
Team over player always.

Dak over Dallas and Micah over Dallas fans are not needed.

Why was Isaiah Land available? Obviously wasn't good enough to make another team's 53. But we want him back? When has this team built up players? Couldn't even build up Deuce Vaughn...

He needs to be developed. Teams tend to try and develop guys they had in camp and know. Generally not a lot of guys get claimed because teams know the guys they had in camp better.

Do you pass up talent for inferior talent for need though?
Land is the inferior talent from the prospective of he'll be the 9th DE. Heck, maybe they could get a NT2 or RB2 heavy on the maybe. Point is, Land isn't seeing the field unless something terrible happens

Sometimes, i just get tired of endless threads about Jerry Jones and the last 30 years. We all seem to agree what the problem is and maybe how to fix it.

And, yet, here I am am reading every post and commenting on many.

Jerry Jones is a modern-day soap opera for many fans.

Right….but injuries do happen. And a year from now…that room may not have Micah, Sam, Fowler or more in it. We should commend them
For being proactive and not wait until the last minute to find players like they typically do when guys leave. Now Land may be out of here as well I’m more so defending the need to stock pile talent regardless of position.

He needs to be developed. Teams tend to try and develop guys they had in camp and know. Also you’d have to cut a guy to claim a guy which exposes a player. Not a lot of guys were claimed. Because one team had as many claims as they wanted they claimed 4, but overall wasn’t a lot of young players claimed, a few vets

It's obvious what you're doing.

Not using critical thought and asking logical questions of both sides.

Neither side is handling any of tbis in a smart way. You're ignoring glaring issues to simply bash one side.
With regard to the back issue, what else could the Cowboys have done better? Do they know Micah’s back hurts? The extent of it? Does Micah have a responsibility to get it taken care of?

Remember when the Cowboys were the youngest team in the league and they won a super bowl?

Those were good times. I thought we would win at least 4 or 5 more after that.
No cap then makes a huge difference. But Jerry also got very lucky. An elite QB being there when we picked was really huge. And he had a real football guy he listened to then which was biggest factor. Now he only listens to himself

Who cares.

The cowboys have been one of the younger teams in the league for a while. I remember getting in an argument on twitter with Bobby Belt about this a few years ago. He posted how the cowboys were one or the youngest teams in the league. I asked him “what does that matter if it never leads to a superbowl and there’s constant turnover in the league?”

He then called me foolish for thinking being young didn’t matter.

Fast forward 4 years. Where has it gotten us? Oh yeah. Nowhere.
Booby belt had his feelings hurt. He gets butt hurt often. He's some so called insider yet dude looks like he's never done a days manual labor in his life. Soft . How would he know what players are going to be good? He makes his assumptions from behind a computer screen in the comfort of his cubicle or at home. He's rarely right.

Micah may not be the best defender in the league. It is possible that Garrett is, or was last year. But Micah is clearly near the top. Of course the superficial fans who see what they want to see will argue Micah isn't that good. But those fans need to be discounted. Micah changes the offense. He forces teams to focus on him. Again, go back and watch the 2023 playoff game against GB. Watch how Green Bay had two and 3 guys on Micah every passing down, or they threw quick passes to avoid giving Micah the opportunity to get a sack or make a play. Look at Micah's double team rate. It is always at the top or 2nd in the league, way above TJ Watt. This can only happen because there is no one else on Dallas who threatens the QB consistently.

No one can be a 1 man defense, I don't care how good he is. LT couldn't do it by himself. We cry and moan about the Cowboys DTs, but never stop to consider how that weakness effects players like Micah?

People who judge Micah on his attitude have no idea what is going on in Micah's head. They expect him to fight off 2 and 3 blockers every play and not get a little winded. If he takes a play off they focus on that play instead of the rest of the game where is he busting his butt.

It is unfortunate that Micah is wrapped up in this contract dispute, but remember this is all Jerry's fault. Micah stated publicly he did not have to be the highest paid player. He stated publicly he wanted to be a Cowboys for life. Had Jerry not opted to drag this out, he could have signed Micah a long time ago for a lot less money. And for good measure, Jerry decided to hurl a few insults at Micah and some of his other players. Now Micah wants the money because he feels disrespected by Jerry, and rightly so. Jerry is a clown who does not care about winning. I only wonder why anyone would want to play for n owner like that.

We post stats showing the Cowboys have the Cowboys defense has the best EPA in the league with Micah on the field and the worst with Micah off the field and they just dismiss it because it doesn't fit into their narrative. Objectivity is out the window.

270 is from when he entered the league. I saw a listing that he's 283. So he might have bulked up.
That's a significant difference. Odeye looks like the replacement for Wheat as the backup base DE insurance for Kneeland. This guy moves pretty good tho for the size.

Exactly and I don't remember Ezekiel Elliott demanding a trade I don't remember him having an agent that Jerry absolutely has disdain for and hates I don't remember Ezekiel Elliott putting this many things out in public with social media I don't remember Ezekiel Elliott faking injuries....

Has more to do with the posturing and the things going on from both sides but Parsons and his agent everyone knew they were faking an injury and now it gets cleared by the MRI and he wants a 3rd opinion trying to find someone to tell him that he's really hurt so he can not play...

That's just downright bad character this agent is giving truly bad advice look you take this as far as you can and I understand why he held out just like Ezekiel Elliott but at some point you have to come back in You're under contract You have a fully guaranteed contract you need to let the fans down or your teammates down by faking an injury to a point where now you're have filed something about how your status is they're taking this further than anything that's ever happened in Dallas...

And at first I'm trying to stay neutral but if he doesn't play game one and he keeps playing these games with the fake injuries and whatnot that I'm gonna have to move over to the Cowboy side and say this is the agent and player that just are not going to negotiate they're not going to come to the middle you know sometimes you have to make to affect some concessions...

You don't negotiate by saying this is all we're going to accept and then do everything that's happened and I realized Jerry has created a large part of this drama but the 2/3 that are pushing this this far are starting to make fans now Who didn't have a side or maybe they were on Parsons side maybe changing their minds...

This is by far different than any other issues with contracts and holdouts that Dallas has ever experienced I mean Emmitt Smith said he didn't have a contract and Jerry said he did one says it was canceled out but he claimed he didn't have a deal so this is different plus there wasn't social media back then it never got this ugly Plus Jerry didn't mind that agent people keep forgetting this is more about the agent than it is Parsons that advice and just horrible tactics this is why T Higgins fired him and immediately got a new deal with a new agent...

So take a side, but whatever it is that's happening here ,if it doesn't get resolved and he keeps pushing it with the fake injuries just to get out of plane and you know playing for the contract that he and his agent agreed upon,

It's fully guaranteed, and Jerry has paid people after they've gotten hurt look you held out you tried your best but it's time to suit up practice and get ready for the Eagles or some of us are just not going to care anymore whether you're on the team or not....

Starting to get to that point I wanted to be Switzerland and state neutral but the stuff that's happened since yesterday with the Mris and now the grievances being filed this has gone way too far...

I guarantee if I was Parsons agent I would say we took this too far now we're going to go the other direction we're going to make Jerry look bad because we're going to show up suit up and come to practice we're going to play game one in game two and I'm betting Jerry sits there and goes well now I have to pay him right now and a deal gets done right away...

Someone has to break the stare down and right now Jerry has more leverage he owns his rights for three more seasons He's the one doling out the money and I know Jerry will pay him 'cause he's paid everyone So I think it's the player and agent that needs to end this and Jerry being loyal and seeing that loyalty and effort will turn around and give them what they want..
One possibility I can still imagine is Micha walking it back.

He gets a second opinion and is told everything is ok and he comes back to Dallas for practice and ramp up to game day.

That all sounds stupid, but it is possible this is a last ditch bluff to make something happen.

Personally I think the whole back problem is a ploy to force a trade.
