Still a ton of talent at the edge position!

It is, but rushing the passer without having to use extra rushers usually means you have to have someone who can consistently beat his OL opponent one on one. Parsons was so good at that that offenses had to give him extra attention, which opened up opportunities for others to get to the QB.

We may be better against the run, but that certainly doesn't mean we'll be better against the pass. I would prefer to be good against both. IMO, Parsons' play against the run is being magnified by those who want to downplay this loss. He is one of the premier players at his position and some want to pretend like he's not now that he's gone.
That is a tendency consideration, not an exact science or collection data.

Or if Jerry wasn’t the most stupid GM in the NFL he could have secured a better deal. The guy has toe cheese for brains. Be happy he got two crappy 1’s. Don’t be an ungrateful fan.
That is exactly what Jerry is thinking. Fans should worship him.

Who? Kenny Clark?
Does that question treat cancer? Ask a real question unlike Kennedy. Do you get echos in your ear also.

Tell me again that you don't understand...

I tell you what, YOU tell me something positive about the DT now committed to the Cowboys.

Fowler-is coming off of a double digit sack season with the commanders
EZ-is considered one of the most ready edge players in this year's draft. Coming off of a 16.5 sack season.
Sam Williams-might be the most physically gifted on the entire team, but hasn't put it all together
Houston-is a veteran with a 8 sack season under his belt. He dominated in the preseason games
Kneeland-more of a run defender coming out, but he reportedly is starting to become a better pass rusher

No doubt, it is going to be harder for this group without the attention Parsons would receive, but it doesn't mean they don't have a legitimate pass rush.
That's why I don't get the hype around WHAT WILL WE DO without Micah!!!! Simple more guys opposed to just one will get pressure, guys have to step up

You said we have a player named Carter who sterted in championship games in Green Bay.

In giving you the benefit of the doubt I asked if you meant Kenny Clark.

And you asked if my question treats cancer.

I don’t know you but I’m still concerned.

Time ran out to correct and insert this instead...was in process. Apology for the eyesore.

They will pop you in the jaw and keep on slugging. You bet.
LOL...they were the sofest, most easily physically dominated defense in the league last year, that was quick to surrender and curl into the fetal position when offenses got tough with them.

And then they lost their 1 great player.

"Pop them in the mouth"

LMAO... more fan boy Madden krap.

Good news for the few of you in here that are just nauseated with this unrealistic man-fantasies that are just infesting this place: Reality is screaming down the tracks at us at 100mph now and very very soon will plow full force into every kook in here....and in just a few days all this Sam Williams AND Eze ekooboo will get 15 sacks each krap will all stop, just like the Deuce Vaughn nonsense and Sam Williams krap last year got shut down real quick once the Summer fantasy ended and the reality of the games hit us in the face.

there is depth, not really high end talent. fowler is a stop gap player now having been on different teams the past 4 years. if he was that talented, he would stick around.
Williams is a selfish player, who is often out of position and committ dumb penalties.
Houston was good in preseason, but if he was really talented, he would have been retained.
Eze is uknown and if preseason is an indicator for Houston, then Eze didn't look good at all.
Kneeland is a run stopper at best.

not a lot of high end talent. some depth. they are all average to slightly above average. not all of them play at the same time.

this is a very meh group. add the DT and LB issues and I can't see them being anything special or that good.
Thanks... finally some reality.

Everyone in here just keeps saying "all we need is for every player to just get 2 more sacks and there's Micahs replacement"

Thats nonsense.

First... there will be some players that get LESS sacks that they got last year.

But most importantly... nobody here is considering the impact Micah had on his line mates. Opposing offenses were SO worried about Micah, that the rest of the guys got favorable matchups. Now...opposing offenses have nobody to fear. It's quite likely everyone else on the line will now have far harder time being productive than they did last year. It's quite likely there's regression for the remaining players.

All Hall of Famers. I’m sure of it.
Don't forget the guy we'll draft I. The 5th round and the 7th round next year.

If those 2 guys just get 7 sacks each...then they' e completely replaced Parsons with two Day 3 picks.

WHHOOOOOOPPIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Uh oh. Get ready for another non sensical riddle no one can understand

 :clap:But he can't stop the run and didn't show in "big" games but somehow he was an ALL-PRO not one or two years but four in his first 4 seasons. Jerry mismanaged his talent /production in the worst way. Now, fans are afraid GB is going to do what Jerry couldn't....so they are jumping on Jerry's leaks and attacking him.

And on the defensive line, since we don’t have a great pass rusher who demands double teams, we may be more reliant on the blitz, which means we have one less man in coversge.

Well...at the very least.... there will certainly be fewer wins this year than last year's already bad season... but at least there will be fewer podcasts too

Though maybe Sam Williams will start one. I hear he's going to get 20 sacks this year

This is interesting ........Jerry just blamed ONE player
They just replaced our two worst run defenders in this trade in Parsons, Mazi it is an upgrade in that area. Yes, the biggest question is how do we replace his lost pass rush, but we were never going to succeed if he didn’t improve in that area no matter if we had vita Vea next to him
