I just find it difficult to believe that Dak plays 13 or more games. And winning half of the ones he does play is a tall order given our schedule this year. If we fall to the Giants in Week 2, this thing is going to crater in a hurry. Like last year, it has been mostly negativity for the entire off season. The play calling better be on point. We better win the turnover battle by a large margin. Each year the fans get less and less patient. It's could get very uncomfortable watching this play out from the Owner's suite.

Yet he's never had a losing season when he's played more than 12 games when he started and finished the season upright...

A lot of moving pieces here stop acting like it's just about Prescott if he's healthy and he's targets are healthy like Ferguson Pickens and Lamb and you get anything out of the run game and the new offensive line and scheme meaning it's at least has a reputable run game with a little bit of a threat and say Turpin and Blue give you some impact plays with some speed..

Then the offense should be how it has typically been in Prescott when he's healthy typically has his offense in the top five that's a fact...

You have to worry a little bit about the defense too special teams coaching I mean when you say I find it difficult to believe that Dak plays 13 or more games except after 2020 he did he played them all and he had 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions it was one of his better years and they won 12 games...

But let's stop focusing on him and let's look at the rest of the team that's what we need to see before we start calling for a bad year...

No. I dont think I will. Not with what we have behind Dak. You are more likely to get injured as you get older. Hopefully, that doesn't happen. My overall point is, this team's mentality has been fragile in the past. If we start 0-2, Schotty has a big uphill battle on his hands, just with the team's mentality. Add the inevitable injuries and if one of them is Dak, it could be a car crash. The one thing we know for sure is that teams aren't afraid to put it on us, especially in national games if they smell blood. It's a slippery slope.

I completely disagree it's a completely new staff with a complete new set of personalities along the coaching ranks it's got a lot of different players This a new year it's 100 percent new I don't care what you think is fragile or not fragile It could be a car crash or it could be a ride in a parade so let's just move on you can look at it with negative perspective and I'm telling you nothing from last year will carry over because it's a new year and there's a whole lot of new changes..

All new coaches have an uphill battle you're trying to act like sitting here Aaron Glenn has ever done anything in this league but get carried by a bunch of great players he's going to have to prove it wasn't those players The same thing with Ben who went over to Chicago he does have a lot of talent over there already but doesn't mean he's an instant success I don't even know who this guy Cohen is but I guarantee you he's less qualified than Schottenheimer and Darius Kellen Moore did you look at their starting quarterbacks they had to choose from?

Now they're taking one of our backups and long shots to make tackle to start him at tackle dude they all have a uphill battle if you're a new head coach in this league you got an uphill battle but that doesn't mean he's going to tank when it when things in the chips are down he doesn't seem like that guy at all he seems quite the opposite he has a very fluid personality that's seems upright and positive and the players have bought into it and I'm not saying I'm drinking the Kool Aid but I'm saying maybe you're completely wrong..

Now this team hasn't caved in the past not every time do you remember 2018 when I started three and five I bet you said everything you're saying now and it's over and we should tank and we should give up but Jerry went out and got Amari Cooper they ended up 10 and 6 and then the second round of the playoffs...

What was the quarterback on that team that's right who had instant chemistry with Amari Cooper and they literally made a night and day change and made a run Yup after adversity they put the pedal to the metal and kicked the league in the teeth..

If you're that fan base you're the one who gives up in caves when the chips are down you're trying to project your personality onto this new team sorry dude you don't know anything until you know we'll know 17 games in..
 
....Im dialed in at 11-6. Healthy Dak makes difference.

Defense with all new faces, gets better as season goes.

There is a difference getting two first round picks from a team that is probably going to be bad, versus two first round picks from a team that people already thought would be in the playoffs and now you giving them a player that could be a difference maker. its like getting a probable high first round pick to a late first round pick, the kind that people often say is really a 2nd round pick because of who was left on the board. Or there is a difference between getting a 12th overall pick versus a 28th overall pick. Yes, Greenbay may have a disaster, but come on man. ;)
 
What would be funny is the offense sucks, and the defense keeps them in games.

Defense over-preforming is more likely than our offense doing that. I mean given this team history: it has been the defense that has done that in the past, not really the offense so much...

The perfect season predictions are nice.

I wonder if 0-17 was an option how many would have trolled with that
 
I'm going 9-8 with an outside chance at the last playoff spot because the NFC isn't that strong.
 
I think the Cowboys will be down by 17to 21 points in several games going into the 4th quarter and
Dak and the offense will throw up a ton of Garbage points and yards.

Dak will lead the league in Passing Yardage and Cee Dee will lead the league in Receptions & TD Catches.

Final record 5 wins 12 losses.

Will win some, lose some. Small glimmers of hope mixed with some obvious holes in the team.
Game against GB will be worst loss of the year.

and we have had worse teams than this for sure!

It’s just a reflection of the general lack of faith that fans have in the team after decades of futility and, with Jerry and Stephen in charge, little hope of change.
 
I said 6-11 when this was put up. I now see NFL.com has them at 5.8 with a ceiling of 7.9

No doubt Dak is the difference maker we’ve been waiting on for 10 years. It was magic for the Clapper. I’m sure we’ll see the same with Dak. Let’s put on those Dak jerseys in support of one of the greatest to ever play the game.
