Absolutely weak, Schotty! The same things were said about Dak his rookie year back in 2016. Good thing both Romo and Moore got injured, the Cowboys were forced to start their "inconsistent" 3rd string QB. The rest was history. Dak proved many coaches and scouts wrong, and still is.

You did it your way. Talking about "inconsistent", you kept Blue at home while you played a "consistent" fumbler. What happened? Lost the damn game! Why haven't you and your assistants been punished, Coach!?!? Y'all were dead wrong, and it cost the franchise/team a victory against the defending champions at their home!

Translate.......stop relying on your speed and athleticism. Work hard, know your plays and assignments when called. This is stopping just short of calling out Blue's character and work ethic.
It might also explain how/why all that speed couldn't earn more than a handful of carries over 2/3 years in college.

And don't think for a second this is Blue's first time hearing this......my guess is his position coach shared their concerns with him.

If he had these character flaws, you would think they have found out before drafting him. Someone's not doing their homework thoroughly.

My guess is Blue doesn't know the play book and his blocking assignments on pass plays. Most likely he is messing up during practice that's making the coaches little reluctant.

I am 100% certain this is part of the problem based on Schotty's PC.......what strikes me is his tone. Very direct, kinda ticked off and disappointed with the player. As a rule, coaches are very patient with rookies, especially ones drafted in late rounds but this is the sound of a coach who is out of patience.


He is clearly checking Blue IMO........

**IMO he won't come close to seeing the field until they see what they wanna see
**Keep in mind, there is accountability in the locker room. They know when player x needs checking.
** It could be a few games before he is even active IMO
** IMO, Schotty was sending a message to all of Blue's fans and family

Ace......Blue has to wanna be ready. I am sure teammates and coaches would love nothing more than to see Blue show enough that they can't keep off the field. For coaches, not to even dress him for a game is about as strong a message as they come.

In fact, I doubt they are going to make him inactive every week. Just my take but I think he has maybe a few more games to either earn his way on the field or he could be released and signed to PS.

** Coaches see it during TC
** He is inactive for the 1st game of the season......HC uses words like inconsistency and earning.

Don't think for a second he has NOT had coaches, family and friends in his ear to get his butt together. You have gone through college and now in NFL, same issues.......either can't do or don't care enough IMO.

It wasn’t bad per se outside of the sanders fumble.

The big run where Sanders got chased down showed Sanders vision and patience. He had tk actually wait for blocking to develop before he saw an opening and got the big gain. Indont believe the rookies would’ve let that play develop to get that big run. That looked like Demarco

Odds are they knew. But the "value" for his talent was worth the risk.

Just like Kelvin Joseph, whose "potential" was pretty good if he ever matured enough.
Or like trading for George Pickens, whose talent is immense, when focused, but a knucklehead when distracted.

Every other back scores on that long run and the fumble killed us. Maybe it’s more glaring because it was nearly back to back plays and cost us the lead

Nope. He originally signed a 2 year deal last year with the Ravens for $16 million plus $4 million in incentives with $9 million guaranteed. He ended up with $11 million for the season and they gave him a new contract that makes him $30 million in the next two years.
