Three possible trades for a RB

Breece Hall would have been the trade to make but that ship may have sailed.

Rhamondre Stevenson is or will be expendable with the Patriots spending a high pick in this draft on a RB. He doesn’t have juice but he’s probably a step above Williams as a RB.
Stevenson is prone to fumbling issues.

why would any of those teams trade us one of those stellar , super bowl changing odds type of players?

of those three,i like brooks.
but i think they should give more carries to javante williams....and use jaydon blue over miles sanders.
but what do i know.
i clean toilets for a living.

If the Cowboys want to contend for a playoff spot in 2025, we aren’t going to get there with Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders at RB. Jaydon Blue is a complimentary player who needs to be paired with a back who can carry more of the load.

So how about a trade that could immediately improve our RB room without breaking the bank?

Here are three RBs who could possibly be obtained through a trade that I believe would immediately make us better.
  • Ray Davis, 25, backup RB in Buffalo. A 2024 4th round pick. Underrated coming out of Univ of Kentucky. Was an all SEC RB IN 2023. Powerful, good hands as a receiver. Rushed for 442 yards last year backing up James Cook. Would be an excellent pairing with a speed back. Bills could use some pass rushing help. Dante Fowler for Ray Davis?

  • Justice Hill, 27, backup RB in Baltimore. Has avg 4.6 yards per carry in his career with ravens. An All Big 12 RB out of OK State. Good speed, power when needed. Been stuck behind Derrick Henry but would probably start for most teams. Ravens could really use help at WR depth. How about Jalen Tolbert for Justice Hill?

  • Tahj Brooks, 23, backup RB in Cincinnati. A 6th round pick of the Bengals last spring. A poor man’s Laveon Bell. Combines power with elusiveness. All Big 12 RB two straight years. Best pass blocking back in last year’s draft. Excellent special teams player too. A solid young back that could be paired with Blue. Could be had for a late round pick.
I know these are long shots that probably won’t happen. But if the Cowboys are serious about a playoff run this year, the current RB room won’t be enough. The moves I am proposing make us better without sacrificing big draft capital for the future.
We are not trading for a RB after signing 2 and drafting 2 before the season started.

Hey, Robert. I want you to pull out your wallet and check your drivers license.

Do you see Jones listed as your last name? Then you're not qualified to make these kinds of decisions.

I’m not trading for a RB.

If I were to trade for anything it’s a Corner or Linebacker.

But at both those spots we got Overshown & Revel eventually returning.

If you want better runners you already have them. Just don’t play Sanders.

Blue & Mafah can produce.

Javonte is a legit NFL Runner & looks healthy again. If he’s healthy he will produce.
Your right...Javonte will probably end up injured again....BUT if he could stay healthy he's a good rb...

Blue might be good but if I'm, God i almost wrote "if Im jerry" lol..anyway Javonte should start....

We absolutely should trade for a RB.

The road to success this year is our offense. We just need the defense to bend and not break. Williams is a nice player, but Sanders clearly is not. And if Blue cant get his **** together, we have one of the worst RB groups there is. And then teams will just shut down Ceedee.

A RB who can get splash plays is a must for the success of the team.

Not going to happen.

He played like a backup RB, nothing more. He's not a legit #1 RB unless somehow he transfers back to the year 1 Williams.
I guess i was hoping he was going to be like year 1 Willams since they said he was fully healthy and all...he doesn't have a lot of miles.

For some reason this team is not very good at evaluating what running back should be on the field this was on full display last year.

I'm not against trading for someone that can actually make an impact but it's ridiculous to trade for somebody and then have them sit on the bench kind of like drafting blue and not playing him if he's healthy.

I think the first thing we do before we panic is make sure blue is 100% healthy play him behind are starting offensive line in a real game that matters and see what happens.
If he's not ready for prime time I say we try Malik Davis and then if we got nothing there try and trade for somebody.

But I think we need to at least give our in-house resources a fair shot before we buy somebody else's backups.

I don’t want to make any trades until I’m convinced the team has a chance to be in the playoff race.

If we’re tracking to six or seven wins before the deadline, then obviously a trade is a waste

Javonte played really good.

He didn’t leave anything on the field & scored 2 touchdowns.

Play your young RBs. That’s the answer at RB.
I thought he played well too. Much better than I expected. But why not bring in a Jordan Mason. Wayyy better than Sanders.
This organization never turns over all stones to improve this team. They always sift thru garbage.

Jerry doesn't care about winning. As long as the team is competitive it brings hope.

No RBs, LBs, DTs are coming to the rescue.

They brought in a couple of crappy LBs in Sanborn and Murray. Elam sucks, Sanders is done. All some other teams trash.

Kenny Clark is decent but my gawd look what they traded to get him along with two late round picks. Jerry basically handed the Packers a SB. Just like he did with Denver

I do not think they are scrapping their positional group just yet after finishing a whole offseason/camp with them. Now if the season progresses and they do struggle, perhaps they make a move before the deadline, but it is too soon for any change.

lol lol oooooooooh easy big fella!!! lol gotcha!!
