I always go back to the 4 playoff games where he totalled 10 tackles,4 assists and 1 sack..total non factor, especially against green bay... money well saved.

I'm sorry, the vast majority of those plays resulted in completions for positive yards (maybe 3 had a negative impact for Cowboys). If you don't actually disrupt the play, technically you didn't win your battles (basically giving credit for almost making a play )

We had a good plan for him that was effective. Chip him, double him, roll away from him and get the ball out quickly. He got a couple of quick pressures, but as I've said elsewhere, the only time we had a poor plan against him was when we tried to block him one-on-one with Ferguson in overtime.

That being said, it was the final incident after months of provocation after provocation.

I’m still trying to wrap my mind around how you and others think it’s ok for our owner and GM to behave like a schoolyard bully with his employees. Even worse, and more insidious, he’s like a mean girl, spreading gossip and rumors about a rival .

The face of the franchise basically dumping pigs blood on Carrie at the dance and then acting surprised when things go badly.

I'm not ok with Jones or his tactics, but that wasn't part of the conversation I was having before you intervened. I said that Micah wanted out, showed he wanted out over the course of camp, and forced his way out. Do I blame him for wanting out after being offended? No, not really, but he went about it completely wrong. He made a fool of himself. You can't keep a guy on the team and expect accountability from others if you are willing to overlook his antics. It is what it is.

Kinda the point of trading him.

Hes the best guy in the NFL to have on your team if you have a 2 score lead.

But if it’s a normal back and forth game he isn’t going to have a 47 million dollar impact on the bottom line result.

This. He got his pressures but he really only had that one sack that mattered. I’ll take 3 players for that plus some of the guys we have been able to pay with his money. We need a lot of players.

This is not a novel tactic exclusive to Micah. Emmitt did it…Zach Martin did it…et cetera.

Jerry shut the door on negotiating because he got his feelings hurt trying to negotiate directly with Micah. That’s well documented. Jerry cutoff contact for months…that’s well documented.

Didn't say I was shocked now did I? I was disappointed that he jumped through hoops to stay off the field, and then acted like everything was A-OK a couple days later. Emmitt stayed home and told Jerry to pay him. Martin threatened to sit out but didn't make a scene of it in practice or during a live broadcast. Jerry extended an offer that was not rebutted by Micah or his agent, but that's not part of the argument, is it? I said after Micah made a show of it, and took the option of an extension off the table. I have not defended Jerry or his negotiation tactics. My posts have been strictly about Micah Parsons and his forcing of a trade, ie. retaining him wasn't an option when he was traded.

True. The last elite/all decade caliber edge guy to win a Superbowl was Von Miller who was drafted 15 years ago.

Complete opposite for interior rushers, this decade alone the best d-lineman for the Superbowl winning team has all been interior (Carter, Aaron Donald, Chris Jones, Vita Vea).

Yep. The OP encapsulates pretty much everything that's wrong with Micah......Micah cares about Micah and his personal stats, the fact that he and the whole Packers pass-rush) had very little overall effect upon Dak and the game.

I think Micah regrets it. I certainly could be wrong but I didn't see him smile once last night. Before the game he looked like his dog had just died. He'll get his sacks, and his money, but he doesn't look happy to me.

He's not happy the only thing he abused was Green Bay's front office.
That short-sighted little money grabber missed out on the stuff that Troy aikman Tony Romo Michael Irvin all enjoy to this day.
