Is the door open for the Cowboys to take the NFCE?

When a team’s head coach’s worst year is 11-6, qualifying for the playoffs, and literally goes to the Super Bowl every other year, teams should be prepared for a challenge when playing them.

This season would be their “not in the Super Bowl” season. Will it be the Cowboys Super Bowl season? If it isn’t, who cares what the Eagles do?

The one thing I give their coaching staff credit for is to stop trying to make Hurts a pocket passer. They basically turned him into a 2019 Lamar Jackson. I don't know why more teams don't do this with QBs that are clearly not pocket passers. Like Fields and Trey Lance.

The Eagles got away w/ it due to great trades that led to the ability to get a Jalen Carter in here. Paying the WRs while he's on his rookie deal is fine, but if they don't keep him or find someone who is close, they will fall quickly. They won the super bowl because of their D and the running of Barkley. W/o Barkley the year before, the O was not anywhere near the same.

Absolutely. He is a good QB for that team, but only w/ a stud RB and TE.

Hurts is not a one read QB that takes off at the first sign of trouble. The main reason he gets sacked so much is that he holds the ball too long on some plays looking for the pass, knowing his o-line is giving him 4 secs every drop back. Dak should be so lucky; he might throw for 5000 yards with those tackles.

The Eagles aren't doing that good on offense or defense. Usually, that results in a bad record.

Their opponents have had a ton of huge unforced errors, however.

It's unfortunate that teams have not been able to better capitalize on the generally poor performance of the Eagles as there is no telling how long that will last.

Yes. I’ve always felt that in one score NFL games the team that makes a critical mistake and loses is almost always the better team. The team that doesn’t make a critical mistake and wins is just lucky. The fact that some of the teams that lost to the Eagles, so far, have managed to lose to other teams doesn’t mean they’re not actually better than the Eagles. It’s just one of those things.

I think he is. He's definitely not a passing QB, 2,903 passing yards last season.

He's more of a Read/Option type QB who hands the ball off a ton. His WRs had 1079 and 833 yds last year.

I'm still trying to figure out how the Eagles are 4-1 with the 30th ranked offense and 20th ranked defense.

Timely play making. Refs have assisted them too. Luck of the draw on the schedule. Their defense is suss. Better than ours but beatable. Hurts is mediocre but the oline, RB are elite. That is why they usually win. The running game and line

Just a season before the eagles won the SB last year they imploded in season. Lost a lot of games in a row. Then Siriani we all thought was gone. Philly got rescued by Saquan last year. Otherwise, that staff all gets blown out of there, along with players. Eagles are by no means one of those teams to repeat. They in fact might take a fall this year. We already see a lot of flaws so anything is possible. It's a long year. We will see.

I’m referring to last year, I don’t care that the Eagles were Super Bowl champs last year. That’s irrelevant to this season.
