What is so special about Osa Odighizuwa?

He is an OK player. I didn't really notice him until his contract year and he didn't even make a pro bowl that year.

So, Jerry gave him 20 million per. Makes zero sense, but that's what we do.

Nothing. I've been banging that drum for years. He's a backup rotational player not someone you give a long term extension at 20 million a year.

He's an undersized poor run defender and a mediocre on his best day pass rusher. Yet fans celebrated the new contract.

Add it to the list of bad decisions by the front office. Who no doubt were most impressed that Osa was drafted by them.

Part of the reason why the defense is so bad vs the run. Dude is too small at 6'2 280lbs. He is the size of a DE. And no he is not Aaron Donald. There aren't too many Aaron Donalds.

Heck he probably would be a better fit as a DE in the 3-4 defense. I wonder if we would be better defense if we ran a 3-4. Sam, Eze, Fowler can be the OLB's in the 3-4. I'm not sure who can play NT in the 3-4. Maybe Clark? But moving to the 3-4 will only help vs the run. Our nickel defense is still terrible. Mainly due to Wilson not being a good coverage safety, especially zone coverage.

Our secondary suffers in zone coverage. So what do we do? Run zone 90% of the time and wonder why our defense sucks lol

This FO has always hyped this guy but he’s a part of the problem that’s been plaguing this franchise for the past decade on defense.

I mean I don’t know. I’m not gonna even blow smoke. I just haven’t seen it this year. He’s never been a guy to wow you with stats but now I just don’t see it.

No Micah next to him this year.
He always had that one big game a year, maybe 2,
where he seemed to be all around the QB all game - but the rest of the games he was just another guy you never noticed.
He just happened to play a position where the next guy up on the totem pole was Mazi. So he's been overrated and as is the Cowboys way - now OVERPAID.
