Jerry offered Micah and a 1st for Quinnen Williams

How about if Jerry just misspoke on the radio.Q and a single number one is about a clean trade for Micah. Also, despite the huge number of posters who are looking to call Jerry and idiot, right now he's at genius level with Kenny,Q, and a #1 and money to sign Pickens.
P.S. check out the other terrific sack producers and their team records Crosby as good as he is, plays on a 2 win team and Watt plays on a 6 win team.Maybe the value of sacks is overrated regarding wins.

We don't really have an extra first-round pick anymore. We have a first for a second, which is better obviously than just having a second. Considering we'll have the lower of our two first-rounders next year (since the Jets get the better one), the picks pretty much cancel out. We got Clark and Quinnen for Micah.
The difference in value between a 1st and 2nd round pick is basically another 2nd.

It depends on what picks. If our first-round pick in 2027 is 10 spots higher than Green Bay's and our second next year is only 10 spots lower than Green Bay's, then it wouldn't be good value to have traded our second in 2026 and the higher of our two firsts in 2027. If our picks and Green Bay's are close together, then yeah, the pick value is in our favor.

Right now, we don't really know if we gained value with the picks. We'll see. The fact that we're playing better lately may make our picks this year close together.

Right now, all we know is that we got Clark and Williams for Parsons.

If that's true and there was nothing else involved, add this to the list of reasons he's a colossal idiot.
Add it to the list of reasons Jerry AND Woody are idiots. One idiot just saved the other by being a bigger idiot.

The only owner as dumb as Jerry. And he’s wearing that chain without a hint of irony. He just thinks it looks cool on him.

Not fond of agreeing with Jerry, but this is exactly what I was saying during the off-season would be the justification if we did trade Parsons.

He was not the cause of the losses but he was having little impact against good teams because they would gameplan around him by running at him or double-blocking him and no one else on the defense could make them pay for doing it.

The Cowboys needed more consistent every-down help on defense rather than a guy who could make one or two highlight plays per game.

That said, I think Jerry was an idiot if he offered Micah and a first for Williams regardless of how good Williams is.

Now, if he said he offered Micah to the Jets for Williams and their first round pick, I could see that being more realistic, at least from the Cowboys side.
I came across this, which is probably closer to the truth than what Jerry is saying.

Remember, there was talk that the Jets never considered Parsons coz they knew they could not meet his salary demand.

It was also reported the Jets did not have the money to pay Micha.
If the Jets didn’t have the money due to the cap, that is sad for Jet fans. What and who are the Jets paying and getting few wins?

If the Jets billionaire owner just didn’t have the cash, then the owner has serious financial problems.

1) I am surprised the Jets GM has not responded to this yet.

2) Do owners talk and make deals without GMs? Very likely sometimes in my opinion. Especially when money is high. Some owners may delegate it down, but I would guess a lot of owners make the decision themselves. They tell the GMs to make it happen and work out the details.
