If you think Dak played well

No quarterback in the NFL could play any better than what we saw.

Statements like this make me sad. Have you ever watched any teams besides the Cowboys? EVER?
MVP, baby! Tied for 1st, I think?

Dak did not play well. Hard to defend him after a game like that.

Those non-division games on the road are a big downfall for him.
He just wasnt efficient with the ball this game. The 375 yards looks impressive but on 47 attempts and 2 picks, it looks like the numbers of a losing desperate situation.

Meanwhile, Goff was 25/34 309yds and no picks.....very efficient.

Relatively, absolutely. Peyton, especially in Denver, couldn’t throw anything but lame ducks.

Brees has been very honest about how badly his arm depreciated after the injury in SD (played his whole Saints career with ~75% of an NFL arm (and that’s with his college prospect profile being an average arm to begin with). Go watch his New Orleans highlights, they’re all lob passes and teardrops.

Joe Montana famously had one of the weakest arms in the NFL, and he was his own critic. Joe Montana's famous quote, "I don't throw darts at balloons, I throw balloons at darts.”

People commonly mistake downfield accuracy for arm strength, and that’s two completely different things. Hitting a receiver in stride 30 yards downfield doesn’t mean you have a stronger arm than Anyone else, every QB in the league is able to hit that throw (maybe not as consistently). “Weak” is a relative term. Every QB in the NFL has an NFL caliber arm, that’s not what we’re talking about. But there is a wide range of NFL caliber arms, and none of the guys I listed were near the top; none of them would even be considered league average. Compared to Stafford and Vick and Favre and Mcnabb, Warner threw underhand. But it doesn’t mean he couldn’t hit an open man deep downfield.

Do you know about the combine throw power test? Do you know what Mahomes was? A blistering 60mph. Josh Allen? 62! Carson Wentz had a pretty lively arm, and he got 57. But That’s like the difference between a pitcher who throws 100 and a pitcher who throws 93. Now Jalen Hurts, for instance, absolutely has below average arm strength. But he still gets the job done. His Throw power? 54. He’s as far away from Carson as Carson is to Mahomes. Do you know who else threw 54? Dak Prescott.

Just because Joe Montana didn’t have as strong an arm as Dan Marino doesn’t mean he couldn’t out play him. But seeing Joe outplaying Dan and then pretending that meant he had a better arm is silly.
Niners practiced on a 50 yard field with Montana. Their is a reason Rodger Craig caught 100 passes out of the back field.

Craig average 70 catches a season and Rathman averaged another 40. Almost half of Montana's completions were to RB's.

Bring it....all in fun...Dak was pressured 20 times last night. I hope you know what that means. In other words guys were pretty much on top of him as he threw. Sacked 5 times. Still put up 30 points. Still had the team within 3 at the 8 minute mark of the 4th quarter. Even after losing one of his top receivers. Not to forget all the drops-fumbles and penalties that stopped potential scoring drives. But that was all on Dak also  Dak causes all this other stuff to happen also. Dak sucks on every level-including defense. Dak's sorry azz gave up 47 points!!

P.S. I pretty much watch more than half of the games every Sunday and many college games. I love football. College and Pro. That's why I know these Dak threads are pure malarkey.

We were talking Dak stats the other day. While I don't usually worry one way or the other about them...Ilooked it up. Dak was/is first in yards, but also first in passes.

Poin tbeing you make a great point about the amount of attempts.

Cool stat!

Can you go back and look at all-time QB records on the road against a playoff team in December when the opponent scores 44 points?

I think the results might show that every QB that ever played stinks!
The lions had like 17 points at the end of half
It's really interesting to see how the haters react to criticism vs the Dak stans. Man...the Stans get to criticize CeeDee, Ferg, the line, Pickens, the coach, the defense, Jerry, other fans....

but let you criticize Dak? Name-calling, venomous insults and repeated attempts to revoke your fandom.

Wow...just wow.
i was counting on dak in this game . He let up the gas . Didn’t run for firsts and stuff

Why was he without his top receiver? He got him concussed

Don't get your point? I said he played well after he lost -Lamb. Because of the scarecrow coach who called 2 fades back to back. One To Pickens the next to CeeDee. Slant-hook -comeback. Nope...Another fade. Pathetic!! Play calling. Of which cost us Lamb.

Dak is not the reason we lost. He played as well as anyone could considering the constant pressure and penalties. Had the defense stepped up with minimal team penalties we would have won. Then everyone would be asking if Dak is elite.

LOL. He brought us back to 30-27 with almost 10 minutes left to play in the game. Too bad the defense gave up a TD in 2 minutes 35 seconds right afterwards. And another one in 1 1/2 minutes after we scored an FG to make it a one score game with almost 4 minutes left in the game. Could he have played better? Of course. But if the QB brings his team back with 10 minutes left to play. He did his job. Do you want him to play defense too?
Actually the Detroit defense gave Flournoy a walk in TD. I thought Vegas called in.

You can blame the Cowboys defense, but guess what, so could the Lions fans..

And it was actually Aubrey that kept them in it.

And I remember that stat years ago that showed when Dak threw the ball 30 times or less, we won approximately 95% of the games. I believe currently its more like a 80% win rate.

This can also be due to falling behind by a significant amount or simply that our running game is ineffective.

Either way, efficiency and balance has been the success recipe for a long time in the league

I think it's a mistake to base your entire logic (and "argument") on just stats. The pure stats are usually pretty reliable numbers.

What you do with them is the risky part.
I think it’s preferable to having an “n” of 1, especially when that one’s primary argument is repeating “facts > feelings” 5 times in every post.

I also never said that ChatGPT was the “only” AI, nor do I care. It happens to be the app I use, and that’s why I reference it. Dispute its responses all you like. I’ll believe it over a single person on this forum every day (including myself).

Goff threw for 309 yards, 200 being after the catch.

Dak threw for 376 yards, 124 being after the catch.

So go ahead and give credit to Goff because our defense can not tackle.

what grown man places people on ignore because their feelings are hurt over a football opinion? Or goes round cheerleading for a player to get paid and then belly-aches about the player not being worth the contract?

Who does that? Who goes around screaming and kicking and wanting it both ways...without any consequences?

2-4-6-8...who do we appreciate?!?
I don’t know none of that relates to me. Ask whoever it relates to. With your scary ***.
