At least you guys in Dallas can have nice days now and then . In western NY (Bills country) it is seven degrees with no change for five more months .

Parsons and the pass rush gave you something on defense to build around now its the middle, so you traded one strength for another and created one hole for another. Thats just bad management. Overall you arent getting any better.
That's been part of the mismanagement of this team for a long time. The front office never completes the build. We've gone forever without the kind of defensive tackle we needed, so when we got players like Lawrence and Parsons, they were playing without much help in the middle.

Jerry acts like getting one stud player like Quinnen is going to somehow fix the defense. But we already saw that Parsons couldn't do it. We saw that a couple of defensive backs playing at an All-Pro level couldn't do it. Good offenses will attack your weaknesses. Every team has some, but it's a matter of not having a lot and being strong enough in some areas to keep those weaknesses from getting exposed.

This is a bunch of baloney. We aren't some super talented team. Our players are average.
The offense is pretty talented. If we keep Javonte and Pickens, then the main problem area is the offensive tackles. I don't necessarily see us improving those spots next year, though. We will give Guyton every chance to grow (and there have been times when he has played well this year), and we may give Thomas a chance to compete with Steele at right tackle (or just outright cut Steele, which I think is a mistake unless we're going to go after a starter in FA - highly unlikely).

We scored 26 points against a Minnesota defense that has given up more than that only three times this year. And we had a chance to score 32, if not for the Aubrey misses. Only the Chargers scored more against the Vikings this year.

The offense is good enough talentwise if we keep what we've got. The defense needs a lot more talent.

I was told Dak is so great against blitzes. Had to read it for years and years how great he is against that. And that its a mistake to blitz him because he is able to make you pay.

Now all of a sudden the narrative changes and sounds like blitzing isnt what Dak is good at?!

I wrote it in my score prediction post: Dak is a one read QB. Thats what is able to do. He is good at only that. He looks good against the blitz because of that. He has his hot read and delivers.

Flores plays a complex scheme behind his blitzes. That to take away the first read option. To beat that you actually need a QB who can play the game. Eho k ow how to read a defense and is abke to go thru his progression on a constant basis. And not once in 10 times.

The problem at our QB #1 position has nothing to do with blitzes. DAk is not a NFL QB. Its as simple as that. As long as the defense is bad enough an OC can scheme his first read open. Then he looks good. But if thazät fails and your OC needs real NFL QB skills to succeed your done with Prescott.
Don't forget he was number 1 against soft pressure, just don't scare him.

We'll be lucky to achieve that. There was no motivation, no fight, no heart when the season was on the line. Why would they go 2-1 now?
I think there's a high chance we lose to the Chargers, but Washington and New York may favor us since both of those teams have been bad and are in the high draft position chase.

We weren’t going to win anything anyway and I’m not surprised we didn’t play well

We are several players away before we can really compete with the top teams - CB, S,LB and OT

Don’t think Eberflus is the right guy either - can’t make adjustments when basic fans can see issues from the couch
If getting rid of Eberflus is the one thing that comes out of this loss, then maybe it was worth it. Frankly, I'd dump him now and let someone like Whitecotton take over and audition for the full-time role. That would give him extra time to implement what he wants to run instead of the DC just having the offseason to install his scheme.

Looking at 8-8-1. The Chargers have something to play for so Dallas isn't winning that game. They are too mentally weak to challenge LA next week.

I hope dak and the guys don't get super, super duper mad the next game. Did anybody call the dak sweat before the game? LOL, I'm glad Pam Oliver wasn't doing the game. Last time she told him to move, he stunk. You go, Pam.

A big loser from last night is Minnesota.

They are now under the delusion that J.J. McCarthy has turned the corner in his career when in reality, all he did was face a classic Matt Eberflus defensive gameplan. :muttley:

Headline: Mahomes to Dallas

Haha!

JJ could care less about making playoffs. all he cares about is Dallas being in the news and in the mix with flashy offensive players.and selling merch to line his pockets. Just watch the Netflix series to see what he is about.
Cant draft right or make good trades. Players have it too easy there, no incentive to win SB.

This is the worst S & LB group i've seen in Dallas since the late 80s when the entire team was essentially bereft of talent. There's no excuse to be so bad right now. This group is either slow-footed or slow to react or in most cases both.
At least the 80's had Bill Bates.

But did you see him pick up his back foot on some throws!!!

The front office had no plan this entire year going back to the off season.

Honestly, they haven’t had a strategy since the Green Bay playoff blowout.

Everything they do is reactionary. There can be no transition without a plan.

Change to a football team without a plan simply amounts to decay.

The front office is a swamp of ancient fossils who have never held a real football job for any boss other than Jerry.

There is no innovation, no creativity, no spark of genius.

It’s just a bunch of yes men telling Jerry what he wants to hear and a place where the only measure of success is how loyal you are to Jerry.
Everytime someone says, "We just need_______ (fill in the blank) I always think, "You aren't looking at what other holes Jerry will create before next year."

I have no idea how these guys make it to the NFL without even knowing how to throw a football. Even when it's pointed out to them they keep doing it wrong. You are making millions of dollars, take it upon yourself to hone your craft.
