Twitter: Schottenheimer on Jaydon Blue playing

He fumbled once.

Epic fail. Try again. Dumb agenda has failed and you know it. Take it like a man and admit it, instead of making up BS to excuse your dumb failures.
You are correct some people just wanted him to fail and that's OK but I've seen guys like Rico and Davis take three years to even get their opportunity Obviously it's immaturity issues and it has nothing to do with his talent level or lack thereof it has nothing to do with him picking up the offense or pass blocking because if that was the case Davis wouldn't be on the field because he got ragdolled the last game when he was depended on when Williams was in and out and Hunter was no longer on the field this dude couldn't pass block at all he's not big enough he's not strong enough to consistently do it and that's why they are backups blue can do it in a smaller sample size as well..

Obviously in the doghouse for his practice habits Maybe he's been late to meetings maybe he's falling asleep in meetings we've seen that before put guys in the doghouse maybe he's not showing up for extra work in the weight room and all that other stuff there are things as a professional that some players take longer to catch on..

Know this if people look at the highlight reels and know what this kid can do as a RB 2 as a situational back they wouldn't be questioning his talent He has not got slower he has not gotten worse since college he just hasn't broke through and it's more the norm than people think people don't always jump right on the field I already mentioned Rico and Davis here like Miles Austin took three years romo took a while to catch on..

And right now Nayshawn Wright I got to keep bringing this up over and over to people that don't get it like this is not new people ragging on this kid like he's never going to make it like he's never going to have the light come on and click and that's just stupid he's got too much talent and we're not introduced fallen situation here this is not a gadget player.

As the size and speed to play in this league he just has to get whatever the coaches are asking him to get....

How much earning does Blue have to do, does he have to run up the Rocky Mountains backwards with 6 football helmets in one hand??? Sheesh
Bad draft pick. Not near NFL talent.

But what should he say? Thats the most diplomatic way to give you the answer.

Schottenheimer is a dumb idiot. Stubborn mule stuck on his "I like big RBs" agenda is why he keeps Blue on the bench. Clearly, Jaydon Blue was a Jerry draft pick and not a Schotty draft pick.

Jerry, fire this idiot. His decisions cost you and the team the playoffs this season, and he is going to do it again next season if you don't get rid of him. Just wait and see...
Read here JB was Gale Sayers, Tony Dorsett and Barry Sanders rolled into one according to you after the draft and all preseason. You formed this opinion watching hour after hour of tape so you defiantly know more than the head coach who sees him everyday in practice. Keep the laughs coming it make for great entertainment.

I agree. Exactly what does this kid have to do ?. Forget all this BS and get him on the field, in a game, and feed him the ball. He's got speed that no other RB on this team has. It's gotten to be a joke. I mean, what exactly is "the standard"? How is it some of these horrible defensive players just seem to be given chance after chance every week. Are they meeting "the standard" ? Ridiculous.
I think the coaches know more then we do. I suspect his pass blocking is God awful.

You do know he fumbled a bunch in college, right? 8 fumbles on 214 touches. 3.74% of his touches resulted in a fumble. That is extremely bad.

He conveniently keeps ignoring that and once tried to excuse it away by saying “he recovers most of his fumbles so they don’t really count.”

Ergo, my trolling.

Maybe he fumbles regularly in practice.

Maybe if practices were hitting, the WB would be blown up

Maybe he’s not doing work in the weight room

There are a lot of reasons he might not be playing.

Just because he was a popular pet cat, even though he was a fifth round pick, doesn’t mean he can be a decent NFL player
I'm going with the Glenn Smith comments on him being borderline lazy.

Players came to his defence, and he tried to put on a good show in training camp, but the results are damning. While the season is still in play, and the RB room thin 14 games into the season this kid is not seeing meaningful snaps.

My guess, he can't pass block worth a darn.

If he gets into the game an opposing team's defensive QC assistant should be working with the DC and LBs coaches to scheme blitzes against Blue to see if his presence in the game tips off that it is a run.

Send your fastest LB who is bigger than Blue, and that's not very hard to do on arun blitz to see if you can pile drive Blue into the dirt so he quits or you put Dak to the ground and give him happy feet.

I think the opposite like man we should have let him play
I dont know buddy. Clearly we aren't in the facilities to see what he is doing wrong, but if hes not accountable I agree with the coaches holding him to a standard.

Our Defensive Coordinator isn’t meeting “the standard”. Why isn’t he benched? O. That’s right. Jerry can’t be wrong. He put him there!
