Maxx Crosby or George Pickens?

Did anybody think that the Patriots or Jags were Super Bowl contenders before this season started? Where were the Patriots and Jags at this point last year? I looked it up. They were both 4 and 13 last year.

They are properly managed. The Cowboys are not. Both of those teams can entertain exhausting assets to give themselves a legitimate shot. Jerry Jones is an anchor that holds the Cowboys in place. And there is nothing you or Maxx Crosby can do about it.

I appreciate your blowing smoke. Very entertaining. No one here believes the Dallas Cowboys, during the Jones’ tenure, will win another, or even play in, a Super Bowl. Let some other team waste draft picks on Crosby. The Cowboys have troubles of their own.

Crosby has helped anchor what's been a bottom 10 defense the last two years. With what's left of Dak's "window" and CeeDee's prime, I'd rather keep the guy who makes their lives easier and focus some of that high end draft capital on finding defensive help.

It was very logical at the time. At least we use logic and not pick 4 wins every year because we hate Dak.
Also, I am not a big fan, but do not hate him.

Things happen during seasons that derail teams.
Educate us on hating a player so much it consumes you.

Logic is not thinking the team is going to be good every year just because it's the team you root for.

Logic is looking at the roster, coaches, and owner and seeing major issues everywhere, admitting it, and hoping for change.

Re-signing Pickens costs nothing but cap. Getting Crosby would cost at least a 1st and probably more.

So the question isn’t Crosby or Pickens; the questions is Crosby or Pickens+Verse. Or Pickens+Pearce. Or Pickens+Van Ness. Or Picken+Phillips, or Pickens+Karlaftis, or Pickens+<insert DE drafted between 10-25 here>

Pickens can be signed without giving up assets. Crosby would be attractive to teams that have a realistic chance to get to a Super Bowl. It might make sense for New England or Jacksonville. The Dallas Cowboys are nowhere near being capable of competing with top teams.

Really? They beat Philly and played Green Bay to a tie; and were it not for an awful defense, this team would be in the playoffs.

Pickens is already on the team and will cost only cap space. Crosby will cost cap space and high draft picks to acquire. Also, Pickens is 4 years younger than Crosby, and Crosby has knee/ankle concerns.

Easy Choice.

Trade Pickens for Crosby.

Pickens. we need to maintain the high power in this offense AND improve our defense greatly. That does not happen without a WR on the caliber of Pickens opposite Lamb. Jerry is just going to have to suck it up, find some money and do it.

Multiple teams in the playoffs scoring 23 points a game - including the Eagles at 23.3/game.

Defense wins Championships!!!
