Maxx Crosby or George Pickens?

We can’t afford to reduce the offense by subtracting the best player even though we need to boost the defense. Crosby would be a nice add but he’s having knee surgery and getting up there in age. Raiders will want a first round pick for him.
Also, unsure if any one player or even group of players will help the defense as long as eberflus is running things.

But resign Pickens unless there’s another vet you’d like just as much. Year 2 in the offense should be even better for Pickens.

If there's a market Hendrickson may even get close to $40m (which was the point that was being discussed). Spotrac is quoting 'market worth', that goes out of the window in FA especially with the number of teams likely to be competing for the signature.....teams with much healthier CAP Space (over the next couple of years) and less positions to fill.
 
Well since Pickens is finding the end zone 9 times has over 1400 yards receiving and doesn’t need knee surgery I guess I’ll choose ….

And I know, like you said, the Cowboys lost (Tony) Pollard, so I didn't know if they're going to be looking for a running back. I live here in the offseason, I've been training here, living here for a while, so I just thought it made sense, and you know, I thought there'd be talks. But they never really reached out. So you think he could command $10M MORE than the $30M one-year deal he signed before the season started.......AFTER missing most of this season and having surgery? His value was $30M before the season, according to his agent ( 1-year deal with Bengals). I don't see him commanding $40M, but if he does........count me out.

I actually feel like the Raiders might take less for him than we think. Listen, whoever wants him will have to take on most of that contract and he just signed it btw. The Raiders know that. If they want two 1st rounders for him, they would need to offer to eat most of that deal. I can't see them willing to pay that. But I can see Dallas doing it as long as he's willing to redo the deal immediately. Saying that, I bet the raiders would take two 2nd round picks for him and a player. Nobody will give up a first for a guy about to have knee surgery.

He got paid $29m, only after complaining to the Bengals in August. He wasnt on the market and it was a case of negotiate some sort of increase, or sit out. What he was paid was nothing as to what he would get in the free market.
If he's fit someone WILL overpay, even if it's on a short term bases. Our CAP situation, in the next 2026 through 2028 makes it difficult......especially as you say, with a player coming off an injury.

No way in hell any team will give the Raiders two first-round picks w/o redoing his current deal.

You never answered mine on the potential suitors that'll raise his price above the $30m.

He'll get close to $40m, certainly north of $35m (if two teams, in a Win Now situation and available CAP get in a bidding war over his signature......say Rams and Pats),

Why are you guys taking the cheese on Clarence’s stupid poll. The Cowboys would need Pickens, Crosby, the two first round picks, plus free agents to even compete for the 7th wild card spot and the NFC East title next year.
