Clowney's been playing good ball. I'd love to bring him back on a short term deal.

Looking through Over The Cap, I'd say that #2 DEs are getting about $12M-$15M a year in free agency. Harold Landry and Dorance Armstrong are two fair comps for Clowney in that range... good all-around vets who aren't high end pass rushers.

Clowney will get a shorter deal on the lower end because he's old... I'd offer him 2 years, $25M, guarantee the first year.

I don't think you're the minority. He outplayed the other DEs, but he also shows effort in pursuit. I wasn't exactly excited when we signed him, but he's surprisingly still a solid player.

I think that's a wise move on his part.

That knee has been an issue since he came into the league. I'd let him chill and work him in once the season starts like we did this year.

We obviously need to bring in some younger EDGE guys that can get the pre season reps.

In one of the articles I read, Clowney stated he wanted to go through training camp next year to keep the rust off.

yeah it was 105.3 they said he may continue what he has been doing and sign after the year starts.
