Make it stop. His statement is ludicrous. Can we just draft good players, regardless of where we find them? Focusing on school seems like we are limiting the net we should be casting.

It's an absurd statement. That guy has been the head of personnel since 2017. 4 playoffs in 9 years. 2 wins. 3 out of nine they had a bottom 5 defenses. McClay sucks. No GM or Personnel guy survives that anywhere else. Saying he will focus on Power 5s...why? He sounds like a moron.

Good example. In recent drafts, that means, No Ryan Flournoy. I know he was drafted much later, but we never find any gems with his philosophy. Flournoy is blossoming into a good player.

Then that's the problem.......we'll never see a Larry Allen (Sonoma St) or Big E (Oberlin College) again......we'll just see the slow trotters (Wisconsin, Michigan, etc.) Football is football.....if a guy can run 4.3, lift country strong, hits everything that moves, can learn more techniques, and is naturally chiseled......I wouldn't care where he came from.
