Darnold > Prescott

Maybe my reading comprehension needs improvement, but I didn’t come away from reading the OP as him saying Darnold is better than Dak. The point of the OP to me is it takes a complete team, including coaching, and that will never be the case in Dallas with Jerry and the culture he fosters.

And Dak’s contract and what he’s being paid is not the reason Dallas isn’t able to build a balanced, championship caliber team. It’s excuse by the Jones clan because it’s easier than the work it takes to build a championship caliber team. Now, as with Romo, it will be a problem when injury dramatically alters Dak’s abilities and career going forward. Just as with Romo, they’ll have a dead cap hit forced on them and won’t have the luxury of a planned succession.

When I started this post, I am saying I do not dislike Dak or even Romo. I enjoyed watching both ( along with frustrating moments). But with the 30 year drought, I watch our team as a movie, not emotionally vested anymore. THE THE THE problem is the person buying the groceries.

Again, not seeking a Superbowl win, though would be nice. Not seeking getting to a Superbowl, which would also be nice but a sad ending. Could this franchise just get to a NFC Conference game.

Like Demarcus Ware, Mr. Lawrence and future ( or current) Dallas players must get out of Dallas if they want to even play in a NFC Conference game because Jerry's Pride will never allow this franchise to see another conference finals.
It is a business first and the players knows

So I hope Mr. Lawrence gets a chance to play in a Supwerbowl, maybe win it and down the line, sign his one day contract as a Dallas Cowboy as Mr. Ware did.

This is so silly, logically. Football is more than about the quarter back. Anyone with a semblance of a clue about that game knows that.

How did it escape you that all these 50 mil QBs are missing the playoffs? Did Mahomes suddenly decide to suck?

Before you make that claim again, go do an analysis of the players teams had to let walk to afford their QB.

And look carefully at the title. You do know what > means, right?

Sam Darnold was the 3rd overall pick in the 2018 draft. Beat the Cowboys in NY in 2019. He just guided the Vikings and the Seahawks to 14 win seasons.

He was better than Dak out of high School being a 4 star recruit.

But the difference is the GM that took the Seahawks from Russell Wilson to Sam Darnold vs the Cowboys GM that took the Dallas Cowboys from Troy Aikman to below average.

Either. There's not that many, but the same 6 or so of them take over every Dak thread(and others) and just spew the same old trash. It only bothers me because I want good football convo, and this completely ruins any chances of that.

I'm moreso tired of yes man Brian Schotty. He's right around the same level of a Jason Garrett and that will never be good enough in the NFL.

I mean, Mahomes is a generational talent and the Chiefs still missed the play-offs this year because the rest of the team didn't get it done.
