I think my issue is that this team has a really small window right here and taking a guy that's never called a defensive game seems like a massive risk. But the flipside here is that it seems definitely out of the comfort zone for Jerry, so that's a good thing (and maybe sign for the offseason?).

Agreed with the small window that we have, but the reality is the PROVEN DC's (Flores, Schwartz,..) would Not come to Dallas in a lateral move.... so we have to get the young up and comer DC's. High risk, but at least he will bring fresh ideas and energy.. At least the off season will be interesting....

First time coordinators, unless in high demand, always will be way cheaper than former HC’s who were also successful DC’s

But the fact that Christian signed before Leonard could mean he was in higher demand and the latter’s price just went down

There are alot of good LBs in free agency that we can sign. I'm hoping for Quincy Williams Quay Walker. and Plus I think with our 1st round pick we will select Sonny Styles.

It's a good year needing a linebacker: good options in both fa and the draft.

Wonder if they got word that Leonhard wanted to work with Harbaugh.
I thought he was the guy they liked and I am not sure if it is just having to wait longer that moved them from leonhard.

Personally thought the young coach from the Vikings was going to be the guy.

Word is that both Jones and Parker impressed.

If Parker is hired, just hope that he gets the FO to get him some decent FAs to help out and not players on their last leg on dollar store prices. And hope they hit it out of the park in the draft.

Hope he comes with some fresh ideas as well. Having such a terrible defense the last couple of years and sticking a young coach in there to make it work might be a tall order but I am hoping it works out.
