I feel like the basis for my claim of him being more of a bottom 1st rounder is pretty valid and data driven instead of using just the eyeball test.

If that means "losing credibility" to you I wont lose any sleep.

I think part of the problem is this draft just isn't that strong. In a stronger year some of these flawed prospects would go lower, but this year they're probably pushed up. I'm just not seeing some of the super athletic prospects like we see some (most?) years at the top.

I dont know enough to agree or not, but I appreciate the data driven approach. You at least know what you're talking about and don't speak in absolutes based off highlights, like most our pundits.
 
I can defintely see teams talking themselves off Bain,i hope the Cowboys are not one of them.

I understand some fans go totally off of what they see on TV and highlights but there is so much more to it.

Clearly not every credible source when one of the most plugged in analysts in the league has gone on record saying some teams have him in the 2nd.

I made a case for why I think he is more of a 20s type prospect than a top 10 type prospect.

Do you want to share your thoughts or just go off what you read? Cool wither way just curious and I think LOLg does not change any of the facts that I have shared.

You referenced brugler and he has him as a top 10. Brug is probably the most credible.

He has production, production vs good teams, an impactful playoff run, highlight, hes technique sound, knows how to use his hands (that are strong **) and has a motor. Acc defensive player of the year.

Yes, Brugler does have him ranked high and still claimed some teams have him as a 2nd rounder and / or 3T.

As far as production is concerned, he has been a high pressure player but has never had a 10 sack season...including this year when he got 2 more games than most prospects.

If you think that is top 10 production cool. I do not.

24.8% win rate, best in college , 20.9% pressure rate 2nd in college (his teammate 21.4%)

Again, that stat that shows little to no high level success in the NFL for DEs with short arms is scary. Could Bain buck that trend?

Certainly, but the fact it’s overwhelming, the failure that is, makes picking him a bit scary.

I am one of the biggest fans of pressures and win rate leading to success but at some point it has to turn into sacks.

I give more leniency for guys with elite traits and length, but yea, agree 100% there is some risk.

Again...I love Bains game and film but he is a 20s type player to me due to what I have been discussing.

I am not as high on Styles as most as I don't see him as a Mike, but a Will, and I think if you go to a 3-4 then Overshown is the Will, or Sam if you are going 4-3 Hybrid.

Also, I think Dallas needs an extra 2 and/or 3 which you could possibly get trading down to the bottom of the first from 12.

Woods is so intriguing. Buy low candidate but I do think he is a stud.

I would prefer him at 20 but would not hate him at 12.
 
Arvell Reese won’t last until 12 . McCoy tore his ACL one year ago . Bailey & Downs falling to 12 , possible .
