Trade value for Pickens might not be what people are expecting

I heard a report they turned down 2 1st round picks from the Seahawks. So they are definitely wanting more.

They’ll take less if MC says he wants a trade.

Tons of people said the same thing about Parsons for several months. Of course most people were against it until it happened then they started justifying the trade because they felt like they were left at the alter.

Jerry will put up with all kinds BS, manslaughter, DV, drive by shootings but he won’t put up with disobedience to him personally. If they tag Pickens and Pickens publicly voices his displeasure, he’ll be gone.

If he hadn’t been tagged, he would have been the top free agent on the market.

He creates mismatches that are hard to account for. When you have to double-team him on the outside, that’s one fewer defender in the box, allowing the run game to open up.

Easily a first-round pick, possibly two first-rounders. The Cowboys would be crazy to ask for anything less.

I'm sure there are teams who would offer a future 1st for Pickens if both sides could agree on a contract extension as part of the trade. The new team gets him today- and for cheaper than they would next offseason. Pickets gets a nice signing bonus and security. I'm not betting money on that, but I don't think it's silly. Garder and Parsens just got traded for 2x firsts each. It's not silly to suggest Pickens is worth half of that.

That's the last time I can think of it and it's worse this time, because social media has blown up and players literally right here can take it to ridiculous levels ,you remember when he forced the trade, he demanded a trade, he literally was writing these long winded nonsensical BS online,

isn't just slightly voicing your displeasure,

that's what somebody like CD Lamb, martin and Zeke did... Yes, Lamb/Zeke/Martin kind of pushed but not too much That's slightly voicing your displeasure, they were gonna hold out he made a few passive aggressive threats..

Guess what all three got deals..

What Parsons did was something that's at the very top of the NFL craziness of what a holdout might look like, times 100...

Stop excusing David and Parsons in what they did to push Jerry over the top...

It's funny though ,

that if you do it the right way or at least try to keep it in house like Prescott said nothing no holdouts no miss practices no threats no demands, and he got the two biggest contracts Jerry ever handed out..

that's what you do be a professional, even when Jerry tries to create problems In this case it wasn't all Jerry,

jerry and Parsons were very close, we've already heard all the stories, we know the facts ,

they had a contract in principle just something they discussed, and we even heard in public,

parsons came out and said I don't need to make $40 million or more I don't need to be highest paid non quarterback and then his agent stepped in and blew it all up Told him don't even bother sending that in..

That's when Jerry said never mind when the agent got the ego the agent decided to really just burn any even of the basic outline of a deal and take it far past where Jerry was comfortable of paying versus the nonsense that he had to deal with up to that point.


They're all at fault you know it and I know it this has never happened before and we see Jerry have his limits It had nothing to do with slight disloyalty or whatever it was far far beyond that..
