But will they and will they spend the money?? I could see them doing it and then signing JAGS and Stephen talking about pie and how they have to sign their own players in a few years.

Teams are cutting players and freeing up cap space. Several teams have added multiple reserve/future contracts.

Everyone wants to talk about what Seattle and NE did to fix their teams. Well go take a look. They have made several moves already, regardless if you think they are significant or not.

I checked Seattle and New England specifically and all they did was futures contracts same as the Cowboys.

So….signing guys that weren’t on the 53 to futures contracts would get you excited and onboard with Jerry? Doesn’t take much to get you excited. Nothing will happen till the start of free agency or shortly before. We will restructure a few contracts to get under the cap. We don’t have to cut anybody to do so.

NE and Seattle haven’t cut anyone. Haven’t made cap space. Who are all these big contracts that are being cut and big moves being made?

The possible cuts….Steele, Hooker, Anger, L.Wilson.

By the way, Dallas was ahead of the game signing guys to futures deals. While Seattle and NE just did it, we did it over a month ago:
  • RB Israel Abanikanda
  • WR Parris Campbell
  • DB Zion Childress
  • WR Traeshon Holden
  • T Marcellus Johnson
  • DE Isaiah Land
  • G Nick Leverett
  • DE Adedayo Odeleye
  • S Julius Wood

Yeah, I get that the 'Boys can free up tons of cap space with restructures. First, we all know there's a difference between can and will.

Second, it's not as if such maneuvers are unavailable to the 30 teams ranked ahead of the Cowboys.
