Parker sold me with this quote

I know you dont. And i know you dont feel that your realation to reality is disconnected. Thats why you need to think how you think of me.

All good. I understand and i already forgave you a long time ago.
And I understand that you’re miserable. Your posts prove it.

"Few takeaways from today’s #Cowboys Christian Parker presser - Schotty has had Christian Parker in his notebook for awhile. - He has extensive knowledge of a 3-4 scheme and its importance after working w Vance Joseph and Vic Fangio - they will be multiple but 3-4 in nature, 4-2-5 in nickel- he scouted Shavon Revel in the draft -he stressed the importance of affecting the QB and stopping the run - he said interview was thorough and extensive - he appreciated the aligned vision - a political science major in college he said it helped him understand discourse and philosophical approaches - Schotty was looking for “energy and connection” talks about excitement guys already have for him and the excitement others had for Parker as they asked around about him. -hiring process involved an install, watching film and detailing it out for them, talking about personnel here and elsewhere and a mock position meeting."
That is all good music to my ears, Parker was taught from some good coaches Fangio and Joseph. I myself love the idea of shifting from the 3-4 to the 4-2-5 and the 5-man front as well. These multiple fronts should confuse offensive linemen and really help with designed blitzes that result in pressures and sacks, and tackles for loss. Dallas should become a good run stopping defensive front, I am sure that will be priority number one for Christion Parker.

I will be sold on Parker after i see he is able to implement a functional defense.

They all know well to good how to drop those empty feel good phrases. They all know how to sell their ideas. Crap or not.
Yep. Easier said than done.

If you can't get excited about our new defensive direction ..........turn in your Dallas Cowboy card (lol). Just kidding but I honestly can't remember being this excited about our defense ense the 90s.

Love this article.........

Why the 2026 Cowboys’ Coaching Staff May Already Be Shaping the Roster

February 16, 2026, 8:00 am

The Dallas Cowboys aren’t just changing coaches. They’re quietly changing direction.

While most of the focus is on potential splash free agents and early-round draft targets, I’ve been watching something else, the relationships.

Because when a coaching staff turns over like this, roster construction usually follows.

Coaches don’t just bring new terminology. They bring trust, and if you follow the coaching tree closely enough, you can usually see the Cowboys’ next roster moves before they happen.

I may not be right on some of these names, but I feel like I will get a couple correct.
I will save my excitement about the defense until I see what defensive talent we can acquire in the draft and free agency.
If we run the same crew back as we had last year, it will be just as ugly.
Even Lombardi could not coach those Jags up.

“If you can win 1st down and you’re strong in the fundamentals, we’re getting off blocks, we’re tackling, we’re attacking the football and we’re situationally aware those are the defenses that are successful.”

Best quote from Christian Parker presser that some here were butt hurt over.
He had me at "win."
Such groundbreaking approach --- winning first down, tackling, attacking the football.
...Like he's in another universe or dimension.

How in the world do you come up with "if we run the same crew back"?

Well, you whine about everything and anything the Cowboys do so go figure.

Im really curious to see if we go with Faulk or Styles in the draft. Personally I'd love Styles, but im also intrigued by Faulk. His lack of pass rush production last season is a concern but there is some context and his character as well as dominant RUN DEFENSE me likey.
Again,
With their existing contracts Osa and QWilliams are the starters at the 5tech position for at least the next 2 seasons. Why with all the holes on the defense would they be looking at someone who will be a backup for at least those 2 seasons?

I wouldn't mind that....HCs don't have to coach, the set the tone. Wittens toughness is what this team full of Nancies, needs.
I think they call that a CEO type head coach..........Tomlin, Campbell and Harbaugh come to mind. I'm pretty sure Jerry is following his career closely........

Haven't heard anything special in the presser to even raise an eyebrow. Just the regular stuff. Not bad, not great, just the usual.

So, also as usual, let's see how the first regular season games go and then we'll know where we stand. Until then its about what they can do in the draft and in free agency. Everything else is just talk.

Truly groundbreaking stuff here.

Get them behind the chains and attack. I can't believe nobody has thought about that before. It will take offenses years to adjust to this groundbreaking philosophy.

That's about what I was thinking. Simple generalities.
