Cowboys not expected to re-engage Crosby trade talks

Man, I hate this management if they would have the “that ship has sailed” approach. You want to get better or not? Maxx makes us better, a lot better than Gary who hasn’t even had a double digit sack season yet. Don’t be childish and have the “no, it’s too late, u already decided, I’m taking my ball and going home, your loss” attitude. If you can get him for a decent price u freakin do it.

LMAO. If this is true they are useless
To me this isn't them saying they're the same, obviously they aren't.
Who knows what was said maybe Raiders were being '______' about it and Cowboys are willing to let them sit on their broken player till they come to reasonable terms?
And if not? They already made other plans.
That's how I see it.

Gary is a nice piece to have, but there's a reason the Packers traded for Micah. He needed somebody to occupy blockers. 7.5 sack early in the season with Micah at the other edge spot. Zero after he got hurt. An argument could be made that the interior linemen will draw blockers, but I'd feel alot better with a quality pass rusher at the other OLB spot. I really hope they don't think they're done, but it's sounding like that is the case.
I think our hope is that a stud 3-tech will draw the attention and Gary can win his one-on-ones. Interior pressure is always more difficult, so teams are going to want to stop that first. But yeah, as usual, we may be relying on a player without complementing him with another piece, unless Eze becomes that piece or we get lucky in the draft.

I would think this was a ploy from a smart team. But the Joneses probably do believe Gary is the same type of player.
The only thing these players have in common is that they both played college in the state of Michigan.

Sadly, this front office thinks that one of these things is just like the other.
It's like trying to get Whatachicken and having to settle for Chicken Express, and then finding Whatachicken but now saying Chicken Express is just as good because you bought it. Of course, if Whatachicken failed inspection...

Is there really a Whatachicken? I've heard of Whataburger, but never Whatachicken.

I'm pretty high on EZ, but missing offseason S&C is a setback. He needs to put on some weight. If they're looking at a two-year rebuild, I get not doing more at OLB, but they're talking like they are going all in. I hear you, though. The down linemen on this defense are stout, and should be able to open up some opportunities for the rush backers. Just hope it's enough.

We traded for Gary before the free agency period began and were in discussions with the Raiders after the trade, unless we weren't serious about trading for Crosby otherwise a 1st or a 2nd should do it
NOPE

Re-engage? When was a real offer made? Reminds me of the Texas Rangers....make an offer that you know will be refused, and then talk about how much you wanted said player once he goes elsewhere. Cowboys are just a loser organization followed by delusional idiots.....yeah, I said it.

I hope they are not butt hurt because the Ravens out bid them or has the Joneses family started the yearly Jones family spring break.
sounds like they thought they had a deal in place. oh know how jerry is, or they could be kerry of the injury.

Wife? Is that you? I swear that last sentence sounds like my wife

NFL Network reported the Ravens medical staff were not comfortable with Crosby's knee, at least at this point in time. So it was a "medical" tap. That does not mean that the Cowboy's, or any other team would be leary of the knee issue.

The Ravens backing out of the deal, at this point in the game, has really screwed up a lot of plans league-wide the last couple days.

It's simple really. When Crosby fell through they went with plan B. That's Gary and as Slater has reported, they are not going to unwind that and other deals for Crosby. At least that is what they are "saying". I suppose it's possible that a deal could be made but the Cowboys are not in the same place financially that they were before the Ravens took him off the shelf.

So, you’re asking the Cowboys to back out of an agreement with the Packers and Gary?

Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.

cowboys would be out if Dr Cooper was involved and he has inside knowledge of the situation. (don’t know if he was involved) that would make sense but don’t come out and say Gary stops you from trying to get Maxx. lol stop it dallas
