Don't think that's an if anymore. The team seems to have moved on. Maybe the new OL coach and coordinator didn't care for Hoffman. I mean, we gave Bass a second-round tender, but for Hoffman it was crickets.
I've seen both play. Hoffman IS BETTER than Hennesey.

Hennessey looks like an upgrade over Hoffman, in both size and strength as well as experience. Hoffman was a try hard player, I just don't thing he had the chore strength needed to play with these bigger stronger defensive linemen, he faced in the league. This signing in an upgrade at backup center and guard, good signing.
Hennessey is an upgrade over Hoffman; anybody can see it that have eyes to see with. If Beebe goes down with an injury Dallas will be better off with Hennessey in the lineup, Hennessey has experience pulling and trapping as well if he is asked to this here, another under the radar sneaky good signing for Dallas.
He didn't do anything. He just wants to START somewhere. I think he deserves to as well,....just not in Dallas, Beebe has more upside.

24 starts for a piece of scotch tape is pretty damn good in this league. Some think anyone can walk in and start...BS, I have respect for the commitment and work ethic these, bottom of the barrel guys put in. They live and breathe it..pretty cool to watch and pretty sad, too

Hennessey was a 3rd round pick from Temple, drafted by the Atlanta Falcons. He is listed 6-3 315. Hoffman was undrafted, Hennessey should be the better player of the two, he should be. I hope he is a nasty mauler as you say.
