Stephen: We have zero intention to trade George Pickens

I wish they would.

They have never intended to extend him from the time they drafted him. A 27m one year rental doesn’t do much for me.

We also can’t afford to sign him so, I’m not sure how this makes sense.

He makes this offense significantly better and since round one is gone and most of the top tier WR are gone you can’t replace him this year any longer with the draft .

Who knows the Jones family run operation might extend him . The object is to field the best team possible to compete. Pickens moves that needle a great deal .

Told you guys he wouldn’t be traded! Everyone on here saying he is good as gone when signing the tag ‍♂️

Lol glad your not running the team!

Ok by this logic, if you have that, you get the most value next year.

Yeah, we missed her window this year, just like we did with Parsons last year.

Hell, last year we waited so long that the season was sabotaged. Jerry acting like he owned the Eagles the way he handled that.

Big trades should be made before free agency and definitely before the draft.

Look how the Giants handled Lawrence. Issue blows up. It’s over and done with in a week and they get the number 10 pick.

The reason I have no patience to wait is because I have zero faith in Jerry’s ability to not fall into the same pit all over again next year.

Dak worked with GP all offseason. He won’t allow it. Lamb might walk out too

This!!!!! We're just using him lol, but hey we can still trade him before the deadline. No big plans, why keep him!!??

They didn’t draft him dude.

League doesn’t want to trade for and pay a guy with checkered football character and one year of high end production.

Agent saw that there was no payday out there with a trade and knew the only route to a big contract here was another big year from Pickens. He just doesn’t have much leverage if no one out there is willing to pay him what he wants.

Your value is only as much as what a team is willing to pay you. Don’t think anyone was interested in their asking price plus trading assets. Maybe someone ends up doing it with 2027 draft capital, but I really think teams want to see another year before committing 38-40M+. That puts him in a spot where Dallas can play it the way they have and he can’t really say much about it.

I feel like this is a bit cryptic.

You can always pivot and say "well, we weren't intending to trade Pickens, but we really had to consider and ultimately take this deal..."
