Can’t believe how much debate there was around here on it.

If his trade value were actually as much as some have thought, Dallas probably would consider moving him. Yeah he is a playmaker, but the contract situation is indeed a problem.

I think Pickens signing the tag was to open the possibility of him getting traded. It would have been foolish for him to be unavailable for trade going into the draft.

Now that Pickens is under team control he has to start showing up for offseason activities (even the "voluntary" ones) or the media is going to be all over him "holding out".

I think the only thing that would have changed the Cowboys' mind is if a team offered a top ten pick for Pickens last night (which had a next to zero percent chance of happening).
