He seem too small to move inside unless he adds 20 lbs. But I am not sure he is quick enough to play outside.

One thing seems to be a theme though. This guys Dallas is drafted on defense all seem to be high energy guys. The all look relentless. No Mazi's in this group at least not energy wise.

I thought I read that he was up to 290 at his pro day.

good pick i think he makes the 53 for sure but i think he will always be inactive on game days. he needs a year to be ready to play on game day.

He is not an edge player. He is a 5T and probably plays DT on passing downs

Fehoko lacked lateral agility. He was a bad pick, as he was never going to excel in the NFL.

After this season you will probably get a good 500 snaps a year from him over the next three. Thats great value for that slot. Wont get that this year mostly likely. Probably closer to 200-250

Never was enamored with him at Bama.

No defined position and a marginal athlete. He’ll likely be a rotational guy at best. Folks can get upset but that’s just reality.

If he played at Waxahatchie State instead of Bama everyone would be saying “who/why’d we draft this guy,” but because he played at Bama folks are intrigued.

Think Solomon Thomas but lesser of an athlete.

The ras is a helpful tool but not the full story. We have no idea until you put the film on and watch how he plays. The kid loves the game and plays with fiercness that cannot be coached. He has power and production. I trust his tape. Ras score is a outlier with him.

Hes going to be good. I agree. Saban likes him and the kid has the right attitude.

I didn't see that but if he is, and it is mostly muscle, not blubber, I think it was a smart move on his part. I hope is is better than Neville Gallimore.

The knock on Overton is he never developed as a pass rusher because he is not a fast or twitchy athlete.

But the Cowboys aren't going to ask him to do that. They need guys that can do the dirty work in the trenches as base ends when they use a true 3-4 look. Overton can basically do what Marcus Spears did during his time here. And he might have more upside than Spears ever had.

He was 6-3 287 at his pro day. He's the future at the 4i/5t that Osa didn't want to play.

I don't think they feel the same. They have Overshown, Winters, James and Barham at ILB and Gary, Eze, Lawrence and Houston at OLB. There are a few others as well, but other than Sam Williams, I don't know if any of them should be expected to make the roster.

Wheat and Barron will compete to make the roster.

Gallimore was a true inside player in the 4-3. We even played him at nose some because he was a bowling ball. Overton is more of a 3-4 end who will have to work to keep enough size for that, and then he’ll play some inside pass rusher in nickel sets.
