Jerry: Overton replaces Osa

Yeah that major in Public Relations really helped to polish the Mystique. Dak is an Emperor with no clothes a paper dragon. The fear I have seen in his eyes in the biggest moments speak for itself.

Dak can mimic or portray what a leader is but he is not one. Jerry should know that by now
If you see fear on his eyes then you have no idea what you’re watching. Determining what leadership is based on a slowed down b shot on tv is nuts. Like I said go look at him prior to taking Romo’s spot. MS St he carried those guys,

Your idea of a leader is based on espn documentaries it seems.

Overton will be the 5t in the 3-4. Osa could play that, but he’s a true 4-3 3T. You don’t ideally want to pay good money to a natural 4-3 3T then make him a 3-4 end with less upfield responsibilities.

Jerry is really oversimplifying it but Overton has the chops to be a true 5t so in theory he’s a better fit for the scheme. But who knows if he’ll actually pan out to being better. On paper it’s the ideal positional match though.

I think we know what Overton can do & it will be shocking if he can’t do what Dallas will ask of him simply because he did it in college at Alabama.

I don’t see him struggling to be a big strong run defender that clogs his gap.

This is where I like taking 3/4 defensive ends. Round 3 & down.

He didn't seem to make a lot of splash plays, but I think some of his contributions flew under the radar. His sack numbers obviously not as impressive.

"Osa Odighizuwa has generated 32 pressures when double teamed since the start of 2024, 2nd most in the NFL.Odighizuwa's 9.1% pressure rate on those pass rushes is 3rd highest in that span (min. 200 double teams)."

OSA is a beast.

Hopefully one of the young DTs can step up.

We’re going to be very multiple, and will have plenty of 3-4 three down lineman looks. You need someone to play the 5t and the FA from the chargers is the only guy we have that is a true 5t.

Overton can be that and a bit more of a chess piece like a goal-line 4-3 end or slide into 3t in a pinch for example.
Gonna see a lot of 4-2-5, which is why we needed top CB in the draft.

3-4 good vs run, which is the old eagle.

But few of our LBs can cover slot. Most are too slow.

Dumb comment. Overs is the like polar opposite of Osa.

Funny how people are still overrating Osa. Good rotational type who wasn't a bad pressure guy but too easily washed out vs the run Easily replaced.

One of the scouts talked about him after the pick and he said that he does have quick twitch and can play outside and 3t pass rushing and also that 4i position which is what they want. So they clearly see a different player than his write ups.
One of JERRY'S scouts said that, after Jerry picked him?

Jerry won't tell the truth about Osa. The Cowboys wanted a 3rd round pick more than they wanted him. His schtick about "not being able to afford" Osa is bull because the Cowboys actually took a cap hit by trading him.

Just stupid Jerryspew.

The Osa trade was a complete win for us.

So I reply to someone who mentioned Dak but I’m the one you chose to say this to? I don’t know if you guys are dense or just afraid of certain posters on this site or what.

He’s so full of it. I hate they even talk about salaries to the public. They just consistently contradict themselves with it.
