So Mavs suck and don’t have much going for us amongst all of these fans of playoff teams but finally some positivity. Kon could’ve and should’ve won this award but he descended when Flagg was ascending and having 50 point games. Kon turned back into what I expected him to be.

Wings got the 1st overall pick, Cowboys got Downs….Mavs just need some luck in the draft lol. All I ask for is a top 5 pick. I won’t be greedy. Good stuff Coop! Well deserved.

I disagree that Kon should have won. Kon is good, but he more so 1 dimensional than Cooper. Cooper is better on D and better all around. Also Cooper played out of position (point-guard) through a good portion of the season. Cooper also went from being potentially on a playoff team to start the season ( Having a healthy AD and Kyrie Irving) to shoulder some of heavy work load.

Cooper basically carried the Mavs and like this one owner said, Kon is a piece of the puzzle for the Hornets where Cooper is the Puzzle for Dallas.

I disagree that Kon should have won. Kon is good, but he more so 1 dimensional than Cooper. Cooper is better on D and better all around. Also Cooper played out of position (point-guard) through a good portion of the season. for the next few years. Clippers gave them a Dynasty…oh btw they have a lottery pick in a deep draft. Some people are so dominant you can’t do anything but respect it. I’m not even a Thunder fan and admire and love it. I want them to get a top 5 pick just to see what happens lol

Dirk I agree. They gave Luka a great team. The made it to the Finals. They just hit their ceiling with Luka. I don’t know if the Mavs had the foresight or if it was a personal grudge but I called it the Thunder are a dynasty even when the Mavs beat them. And now all of these other teams with similar make up like Spurs, Wolves and Pistons have popped up. Magic and Rockets too. And can’t forget about Celtics. A Luka led team was never beating them.

Also, ROTY award isn't based off which rookie team made it the playoffs. Victor Wembanyama Spurs team didn't make it to the playoffs during his rookie season.

Well two important parts of that run were Lively and Kyrie.

People don’t remember now but when they traded Luka they were 26-23. The regression already happened.
