Michael Trigg

This guy's highlight reel is crazy.... but will that make him an NFL star? I sure hope so. Some guys just arent mature enough at 17,18,19,20 years old. Hopefully, he can become a pro. If he can, he could be an absolute steal. If he doesnt, he will be gone within 2 years.

Could be the Schoonmaker replacement. or even Spann-Ford.
I know many like him over Schoonmaker, and has shown some potential. But I think they want to see more in the passing game.
Schoonmaker in the last year of his contract. I doubt the offer him a 2nd contract. Or can they even trade him for a late round draft pick. Maybe during TC.
Shoon was another wasted pick

Crapmaker has never even been a player on this team. Who would possibly give up a draft pick for a guy that hasnt done a thing .... ever in this league. Was a wasted pick on day 1 and has remained a wasted pick.
Teams give 6th and 7th round picks to lesser players all the time.

We didn’t need depth behind Ferguson. Spann-Ford has been a solid addition who has pushed Schoonmaker down the depth chart. I’m all for improving the depth, though.
His catch radius and speed are way better than who we have

His issues are maturity and discipline
If im his friend i tell him: you have a great chance with a QB that throws to TEs a lot. Keep your head down, work hard, do whatever the coaches and Dak tells you to do
If he can get it together he can make an impact

name me another TE as bad as this guy that was traded for a pick in the last year of his deal.
I am talking all players. So,e team may trade a 7th for him. Especially if one is hurt in TC.
Just because your opinion thinks he is that bad. Does. It mean a team, that knows more than you thinks that he is.

No, MY logic dictates that you saw AR being an all time great QB over the course of almost two decades. Any metric that indicates he wasn't, is obviously flawed and should rightfully be ignored.

Your example is about team results rather than heads up talent comparison.

Also, I only find two head to head matchups. "Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Garoppolo have faced each other just once in the NFL playoffs, and it was a memorable matchup that ended with a dramatic win for the San Francisco 49ers." The regular season game was won by GB. So 1-1 seems to be their heads-up record.

Well maybe the search engines need to be updated, but ive seen Garoppolo led teams beat Rodgers led teams multiple times before.

With that said, we can't cherry pick wins and losses for one quarterback and consider it TEAM wins and losses for other quarterbacks.

Is it a team game or not? Im confused according to what I read around here.

I read Brugler's entire profile and history on him via The Beast. He makes NO mention of him having issues with his teammates or the locker room being a 'thug' as you mention.

Brugler ( The Beast )

Weaknesses

  • Plays high in and out of breaks
  • Lacks consistency as a route runner and tends to prematurely reveal intentions
  • Doesn’t always play with the same urgency mid-route
  • Tied for FBS-lead among tight ends in 2025 with seven drops
  • Wasn’t consistently the aggressor at the point of attack in the run game
  • Late to lock on and sustain, which leaves him falling off blocks (called for holding against Cincinnati and UCF)
  • Battled through bruised left shoulder for much of 2025 season; missed five games as a sophomore at Ole Miss with broken right collarbone (Oct. 2022); missed six games as a freshman at USC after spraining right knee (Oct. 2021)
  • Served one-game suspension for “disciplinary matter” at both Ole Miss (Nov. 2022) and at Baylor (Sept. 2024); involved in sideline incident with former Baylor athletic director Mack Rhoades in 2025 — Rhoades is alleged to have taken exception to a gold, long-sleeved undershirt worn by Trigg during a home game against Arizona State (Rhoades’ role in the incident was investigated by the university)
  • Maturity has been questioned by NFL teams (NFL scout: “I know how much he likes football, but he needs hard coaching … and you hope he develops better consistency, on and off the field.”)
That’s quite a lot of weaknesses for a TE, especially a TE in Scotty’s offense. And that’s BEFORE the character stuff.

There is literally tons of receiving TEs in the nfl that suck at blocking. The Cowboys literally have a starter and a 2nd round backup that suck at blocking.
Sucking at blocking is relative. Sucking at blocking in the NFL is very different from sucking at blocking in the Big XII.

He could just be our Mike Evans, right? TE size but just a big WR ……..

Yeah but the knock on Dak is his playoff woes. It’s not his accuracy. It’s just a odd angle to tank like I said I know you’re not his biggest fan but just a odd angle in 2026 to use.
It's been one of his listed weaknesses his entire career. Nothing new.

I know your stance on Dak. You not thinking he id good is one thing. You leaning on that video of him with all the film of him is low and the type of stuff I’d expect from the trolls. You typically don’t do that.
I'm not leaning on any one piece of info. I simply can't list or show all the evidence so i referenced an easy to remember event that counters the tight window claims.
