Michael Trigg

This is why things are called mistakes you can't control everything but I'm glad you're perfect you're trying to tell us all you're perfect and never made a mistake in your life so these guys should be judged really harshly you should get the ruler out and slap the back of their knuckles o
I'm not saying I'm perfect. What I'm saying is when the rules are made clear to you and you disobey them anyway the consequences fall solely on you. And his decisions cost him money. And may cost him a career if he doesn't learn to follow the rules. But as long as excuses are made for him why worry right?

Let's hope it works out. It's always awesome when a UDFA turns out to be a great pick up for the team. Feels like a little bonus for us fans.

Ok, I'll use your logic when I say this.

Aaron Rodgers was 0-4 vs Jimmy Garoppolo. According to what you've stated about Carr and Dak, Aaron Rodgers got embarrassed by Garoppolo, correct?

So what does this mean? Does it mean Garoppolo was a better quarterback than Aaron Rodgers, according to your logic?
No, MY logic dictates that you saw AR being an all time great QB over the course of almost two decades. Any metric that indicates he wasn't, is obviously flawed and should rightfully be ignored.

Your example is about team results rather than heads up talent comparison.

Also, I only find two head to head matchups. "Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Garoppolo have faced each other just once in the NFL playoffs, and it was a memorable matchup that ended with a dramatic win for the San Francisco 49ers." The regular season game was won by GB. So 1-1 seems to be their heads-up record.

What I’m saying is that guys shouldn’t be harshly judged for being imperfect. Sometimes things happen in the heat of the moment, and you don’t thin, it’s quick, and that’s how mistakes are made. That’s what makes us human, and why they’re called accidents or mistakes. It’s not like we’re talking about premeditated murder here, but more about passionate reactions or whatever state of mind someone was in at the time.

I get what you’re saying, and they know this goes on, but the point I think you’re missing is that I get frustrated hearing about “character” and “culture” as if that’s what Jimmy and Tom Landry had that won them Super Bowls. That’s just not true—they had all the same problems, but only a fraction was reported. People think no one got away with things or that everyone who messed up got cut, but that wasn’t the case. The best players who got in trouble were still on the team. Accountability wasn’t happening for the top players—it doesn’t happen in high school or college, and especially not in the pros where so much money is involved. They were never held accountable, and they never will be. Winning Super Bowls takes great talent and great coaching, not high character or great culture. That’s the point I’m making.

I think that’s where we got off track. I wasn’t saying they know better because they know this happens, but earlier in this thread people were talking about culture. We hear it all the time around here—drafting better players with high character to build a better culture. That’s supposedly what’s kept us in this 30-year drought, but it hasn’t. The real issue is we haven’t had enough talent from top to bottom.

The point I’m trying to make is you still need to draft these players, bring in free agents, pay them, and keep them if they’re the best on your team. That’s the road to a Super Bowl—not the other stuff we keep hearing about. We all know what was going on in the ’70s and ’90s when those Super Bowls happened. We might not know every detail, but we’ve seen *North Dallas Forty*, we knew about the White House, and that was only scratching the surface of what was really going on.

Some players come in with so-called character issues, and people say they shouldn’t get another chance because they blew it before, claiming that’s not how you build culture. I say that’s nonsense, if they’re great, you keep them and help guide them toward a better path. You win with dogs, with players who play hard and bring talent, not just by preaching culture. As good as some of our teams have been lately, they’ve had holes for decades. The GM hasn’t always done enough in free agency or put together enough depth, leaving the roster top-heavy. It’s not about culture or character,it’s about talent, and this team needs more of it across the board.

Yes, I agree they know they're being followed they know they're being watch, there's cameras everywhere,

So yes they should be smarter... I'm not saying we should have murders and rapists on our team but some of these things are being judged for are small potatoes a lot of youths go through this but I'm saying I'm tired of hearing about culture and character because that's not what builds Super Bowl teams...

So, a retired QB that was largely considered a bust & a young hotshot throw footballs in a controlled environment and somehow it's a carnival toss because one of them couldn't hit the targets?

ie, the need for receivers with a large catch radius. All these things have been well documented over the years, really no need to re-hash all the facts.
This is stooping low for you. Are you trolling for engagement?

because that is the bottom line in sports. tell me Mahomes is a great tight window thrower & it lines up with what we see. Equals verified.

tell me Dak is a great tight window thrower & it doesn't line up with what we see. Equals false metric.
Yeah but respectfully who are you? Why should anyone trust your eyes when you are judging a carnival contest to determine accuracy lol. What are your qualifications for anyone to trust your “eye test” over everyone else’s?

His logic is extremely flawed lol

11 pages of Mike Trigg, ay?

How many times has Rico Gathers been mentioned before now?

Anything can happen when it comes to issues yet to come that we can't foresee. I'll be hoping things work out for Trigg because we need a capable TE somewhat desperately. As far as predicting whether he'll find great success or not, it appears to be a flip of the coin to yours truly. ;)

Not sure how it's stooping or trolling. Things that have been discussed for years on this forum. It is simply a fact that Carr performed significantly better.

I refuse to accept statistics or any other arguments that don't line up with a decade of history. The Carr incident wasn't on the field but is a very meaningful piece of evidence when examining #4's precision passing abilities.

I am everyone. Everyone has seen, & the vast majority agree he isn't an accurate NFL QB.

All sports opinions should come from "watching". Watching is done with our eyes. Nothing new.

Could be the Schoonmaker replacement. or even Spann-Ford.
I know many like him over Schoonmaker, and has shown some potential. But I think they want to see more in the passing game.
Schoonmaker in the last year of his contract. I doubt the offer him a 2nd contract. Or can they even trade him for a late round draft pick. Maybe during TC.
Crapmaker has never even been a player on this team. Who would possibly give up a draft pick for a guy that hasnt done a thing .... ever in this league. Was a wasted pick on day 1 and has remained a wasted pick.

I know your stance on Dak. You not thinking he id good is one thing. You leaning on that video of him with all the film of him is low and the type of stuff I’d expect from the trolls. You typically don’t do that.

Yeah but the knock on Dak is his playoff woes. It’s not his accuracy. It’s just a odd angle to tank like I said I know you’re not his biggest fan but just a odd angle in 2026 to use.
