Almost every TE especially the receiving type ones have issues blocking. He needs to work on it just like the others and unless he gets bigger than 240 he might be more of a move TE what they call an F.

The only way I see is if:

• Doesn't have the right attitude (pain in the rear to coach, misses meeting, late to too many practices, off season issues)
• Blocking is so so bad and he isn't even trying
• The coaching staff rather sticks to what they know (Schoonmaker aka Yuck, Spann-Ford who I rather start over Schoonmaker and Princeton Fant).

Fant is more a FB type competing with Luepke. I think his role will continue to be a backup on the practice squad.

I doubt it. He just went undrafted. Why would he get poached when no one wanted to draft him?

I assume the Cowboys paid him as an UDFA they will play him pre season . I think he will make enough of an impression that if they try and red shirt freshmen him on the PS he’s gone . You think an UDFA on a PS has never been poached ?

No..... immaturity, character and work ethic are also issues. He has personally trained with our TE coach ( Wells ). So he may have taken him under his wings ............

They keep stashing Fant and injuries occur around the league they will lose him off the PS . What should happen is Schoon who should not get a second contract should be odd man out .

Honestly, I'm not sure what to believe but it's a fact that he was passed over by all NFL teams for a reason. However, that does not say much about whether he can play or be a starter someday. We have had several undrafted FAs start for the Cowboys in the past. I think you evaluate each player on it's own merits if he's worthy of making the team. We will see what happens but he my pet player .............

Collins was a disappointment in Dallas notice he really didn't do much with anyone else
