That would have been the ideal situation in 21 or 22.Imagine if we’d of kept Micah, still traded for Q and then still moved up to get Downs. Along with other off season moves on defense .
It doesn’t have to be one or the other . We could have had both. Assuming we finished with a better record we probably would have had to give up more to trade up for Downs.
And to afford could have let Pickens go for example if was necessary . He’s probably going to be gone next year anyway.
Could have traded for a DT (probably not Q) when we had both Micah and Lawrence, with LVE still playing solid ball.
But failing that, we traded Micah at the right time. Again I've always been team trade Micah for the primary reason that I didn't think his body/elite athleticism would hold up over the life of the bloated contract-- just like Zeke.
