Should Turpin put more focus on special teams than WR?

He's fine as a gadget WR just dont do any dumb stuff like line him up in the backfield
Every time he gets the ball handed to him I feel like you BLOW on him and he's going down easily!!! He needs to put on about 40 healthy pounds of muscle lol

Seems like he may have had too much on his plate, trying to develop as a WR and losing that focus on his best attribute to this team which is his return ability on special teams. Should he go back to focusing more on that, and not WR? I think a lot of us see a difference in his return ability that isn't what it once was. There's still hope. I'm not saying take him completely out of the offense, but with FLO being our #3 I think this helps! Please give your input!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Great find. Dynamic speed (none of you knew about his speed until I just told you, yes? Knew it) I thought the new KO rules would really help him but it’s about the same. If he breaks through that initial barrier it’s over. They can’t strip that NFL All-Pro award away from him. Some damn good players throughout history don’t have even one of those. I wouldn’t want to be kicking off to him as an opponent.

Seems to me as when he gets some WR snaps, he makes a play somehow. Maybe that’s about the staff sneaking him in there at the right time. I’d take more advantage of his skillset, but up to Shoddy and Staff. Maybe they want to run more, which is great work if you can get it. There’s only one football and Lamb and Pickens share the same one. Flournoy doesn’t exactly stink either.
He does that's why this is another ridiculous thread on whether we should reduce the players role when I believe he had the longest catch in area yards last year from the line of scrimmage with all those other great wide receivers in front of him he also does a lot behind the line of scrimmage I don't know why they're ripping on a guy who's a WR4 gadget player I mean it's obvious that they don't understand that he doesn't make that much money he makes like 6 million a year chump change 27.5 for George Pickens and 34 for CD lamb and even 14 for Ferguson So I'm just naming some other players on this team on offense that are making more money than him that are targets..

I don't see any problem with him at all in either spot and nothing should change he is simply that he plays special teams and it's not his fault that the blocking up front changed so much because they had so many practice squad players and players off the street playing defense that they also had responsibilities on special teams and it just wasn't there last year, But he made some of the biggest plays last year on offense i'm sorry yeah he he made some of the biggest ones just because he doesn't break everyone of them doesn't mean you take him out..

. Yeah I don't get it I don't even know why we're having this conversation again it's already been talked about about three times since the end of the year and no the answer is no you don't take him out of the lineup because he's not a liability like people think he's AWR 4 and he belongs in there..

The only way I see the change coming it probably will be 2027 will be at Blue somehow assumes that role you can only have one guy that's that fast that can run and cats behind the line of screaming that can also play special teams so maybe they need to get Blue more involved but you can't teach speed and he has that he can still take the top off a defense if they ask him to do it they don't have that many plays in the playbook nor can they hold onto the ball that long with the tackles not playing up to standards they have to throw the ball quicker =shorter passes at times..

Consider who started this thread.
not to say that won’t be true Next year we can revisit this maybe blue get an opportunity to return kicks and punts , and gets to be the gadget guy on offense.

Definitely not this year , he’s set.. But Blue could be the future.

Well since Dallas started using Turpin as a receiver more his return averages are down. So I would cut back on using him as a receiver some and let him focus on returning kicks more and see if his return averages improve.

Sounds good to me

Could even see more double TE sets, which would reduce the need for Turpin.

The talent is here to move the ball on offense. The rest is up to Shoddys calls and execution.
Game plan each week around the opposing defense. We have multiple ways to win on offense.

Keep opposing offense 25 an under and I like our chances.

Scoring in the red zone will really help us win a lot of games sheesh

Dallas has better options than turpin at wr. He's ok as a 4th wr with a little juice but he plays small. I was hoping by now his connection with Dak would have been better. As far as his ST skills go, I think our ST coach is average at best and unless he does a better job coaching this unit up that group won't be very good other than Kicker.
ST Coach should have been the second one fired after Everflop

Turpin is terrible at wide receiver. Stick to special teams only. If breakaway speed was all it took to be a good wide receiver, James Jett would be in the Hall of Fame.

I want to see Holden the UDFA from last season and Smith the 7th rounder this year show up in camp and fight for WR 4 spot . I have zero confidence in Mingo and truth be told the return game was so mediocre last year can Blue return kicks ?

Turpin should have a fight on his hands to make this team not have it handed to him .
