News: ESPN: Sources: Browns, Rams finalizing Myles Garrett blockbuster trade

how much is verse alone worth? a 1st and 2nd? plus another first they gave. + “and more compensation”

love how our fans want us to make every single trade like we have the assets.
I like Verse to me when I watch him play he’s one of the best players at his age. I didn’t realize his production wasn’t better but to me by himself he’s worth a 1st and a 3 I’d think.

Tbf, as someone who lives in Cleveland, I think the Browns were going to be bad this season anyway, and this gives Cleveland a good chance at getting a much better QB (again). As a Cowboys fan, we could have done something with Overshown for this, no?
Well said rusty it's a great deal for the browns

Should have did everything possible when we had 2 first to go get Garrett. Or you should have tried trading Paraons for him.

Yes, as much as I like Overshown, Garrett would certainly be an upgrade.
I’m sure that’s how the Rams felt, but Overshown doesn’t hold anything near the value of the player Cleveland got.

I’d be interested in local reaction btw if you would. Different than national

I get Myles is the best, but is he that much better than Verse? I feel like Verse was an emerging star too. Maybe they think this is that piece that takes them over the hump like Stafford did.
I don’t like the trade honestly for Rams. I would’ve needed Garrett to go along with Verse.

I agree. It's going to be a season of complaining here in Cleveland for this season, but it should help. But I would imagine they'd take a similar deal if we tried it with Overshown.

I’m sure their fans will be really upset about it. They can watch their Super Bowl win highlights during the draft instead.
They’re trying to win a way that’s only been proven to win once. They are trying to strike lighting in a bottle….twice. If it’s a 1st and Verse aye props to them you do that any day of the week.

That 1st Rd pick is going to likely be the last pick of the round....I am shocked the Browns couldn't find a similar deal with another team. I guess getting Verse offsets that, but still

No I agree but why do you think they could do that? Overshown has no trade value. He means more to Dallas because we’ve seen his potential but he’s injury prone and a linebacker. He’s not worth much.

I mean, I get it, but if we're giving up players, I do think Overshown is a highly talented player. When healthy, I do see him as someone that can be among the top players, and it would have been an interesting offer. Worst the Browns could do is say no, and maybe they did.
