So a good player and a first (and change) for a dominate DE. This is what I wanted to do with Pickens and a first….trade for Maxx or Garrett.

Pickens doesn’t have the value of Verse. Pickens is worth a 2nd or a 3rd. Verse is worth a 1st at least.

Any value Bell had was killed last year. Downs and Quinnen are probably the only guys with trade value. Maybe Bland.

True, but if we can get like a 6 or 7 for him, that'd be amazing, especially since we got him undrafted. At the very least, id like for us to try to see what we can get for him. What's the worst that can happen?

Verse makes Overshown look like a 7th round player.

I like both players. But as far as value goes one is worth a 1st at least. One may be worth a 6th.

Yes I am haha. And I think Jerry should too. Especially for players like Bell who are not likely to make the team. Especially with how few picks we have next year, could be good. Fwiw, we gave up only a 6 for Robert Quinn in 2019. Imagine if we can get a 6 for Bell and flip that or a Mauigoa?

Would have been great to have had him in Dallas, but for what we’d have given up, I’m not sure it would automatically have made us contenders…

You may be right. He’s an all pro at 25 or 26 so I said maybe with him. Plus he has a favorable contract.

It’s not about all pro. It’s about the position you play. It’s why Caleb Downs fell in the draft. Nobody wants to trade a 2nd right now for Pickens. That says it all.
