2025-26 NBA Season

This is true. Everybody knows the physicality picks up in in the playoffs.
Yes. That's because they don't blow the whistle. If they called the game like the regular season, the games would be just like regular season games and the players would adjust.

They think they will get two good players but that’s not how it works typically one is a bust and one is good. Its why you don’t trade down from talent.
I'm not sure how rules on roster size and when it actually matters, kick in... but I'm under the impression they have one open roster spot

Personally, I think they package those picks and a veteran to move up, because right now their tax bill is over $250 million

You almost have to find a taker Isiah Hartenstein or decline his club option because that alone saves you $70 million or so and can potentially get you below the second apron

Tale of Two Cities.

Knicks win Championships....teen shot, buses torched, 63 arrests in NYC.

Hurricanes win Championship....absolute calm breaks out in downtown Raleigh and fans celebrate with civility.

Just the facts.....spin them accordingly, if one must, or merely recognize that the fatigue is real

Clippers would be probably the only team that would possibly do that. I could be wrong, but I just don't see the other teams doing it.

The Clippers were actually the team I was thinking of...

Some combination of Hartenstein + 12 for 5? Saves them a roster spot and gets them close to the second apron

But playoff games are not like reg season games. The intensity and physicality increase because of what's at stake.

The players understand this, and they adjust to it. Even Wemby spoke on it during the western conference finals against OKC.

As far as the officiating goes, i agree that the NBA does have a major problem.

But until enough fans voice their concerns, or start losing interest, its gonna be what it is.

Getting back to the physical play. If the refs called fouls like the regular season, Castle would have fouled out in at least two of those games IMO.

The Spurs guards were trying to manhandle Brunson until he had enough.

Sometimes you just gotta slap a fool.

And being Hartenstein didn’t feel like a factor yeah I’d let him go J Will can play his spot well.

The thing is, this OKC team can only stay together for 1 more year

$250 million in tax payments this year alone

Then in 2027, Hartenstein and Dort are UFA and with SHai's salary jumping from $40 mil to $60 mil... they aren't coming back

So you can take your lumps now, get some value, take a step back and maybe get ahead later

Or you can go for it all one more time, and then crash and burn if it doesn't work

I’d let all of them go. Wallace can easily replace Dort and J Will can replace Hartenstein. Then replace those guys with guys on the roster.

To be clear, I think Wemby is just better than Holmgren and that isn't going to change

But the Knicks showed, you need a big that can stretch the floor to pull Wemby out the lane

So I think OKC should go with Holmgren at the 5

I’m not sure what you are trying to get at. It’s inexcusable what is going on in NYC.

NYC is united by the Knicks. Even the the Yankees are bigger globally, the Knicks unite the city. 50 plus years since their last championship with heartbreaks along the way.

8.5 million versus .5 million in population.

Lastly, it’s hockey. What’s there to celebrate? The crowd goes mild.

Not saying it’s right what NYC citizens did… just saying you are trying to compare the Knicks winning to some hockey team.
